C & J Farms, Inc. is located in lower Sussex county, five miles west of Seaford, Delaware. We raise black angus cattle that are grass-fed and finished. We never feed grain or use growth hormones, antibiotics, or implants. We raise our cows on rotated pastures. Our pastures are free of chemical fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides.

We are a family farm, committed to preserving our land and also raising healthy, quality beef, pastured chickens and eggs for others, as well as ourselves. All of our beef is aged, vacuum packed and frozen. This insures that our beef maintains its best flavor and has a long storage life.

We offer beef by the sample pack (30 lbs.), by the 1/4, and by the 1/2. We welcome calls and e-mail. Please do call before visiting.

Grand View Farm is a multispeciated, pasture-based farm that is focused on organically grown, local food that is produced in a way that simultaneously heals the land. Our customers come out to enjoy the farm and purchase their beef, pork, chicken and eggs from our on-farm store.

Our grass fed only cattle are rotated around the pastures followed by our egg layer chickens in a symbiotic, soil-building relationship that mimics nature. The pigs inhabit the wooded areas and pastures of the farm, adding an important element to its multispeciated aspects. Rotated like the cattle and chickens, these pigs lightly disturb the woodland floor, trim the brush and fertilize the ground. The broiler chickens are in floor-less "chicken tractors" that are lined up across the pastures and moved daily to a fresh patch of grass. The broilers arrive on the farm as day-old peeps, live their lives outdoors in clean, healthy environments until they are culled here on the farm.

Long Meadow Farm raises both heritage and common breed chicken and pigs for meat and eggs.

Our layers are Aracaunas and lay beautiful green/blue/pink colored eggs with gorgeous, delicious orange yolks. Our broilers are Cornish Rock crosses for large size and quick growth. They are not fed ANY antibiotics or hormones. Chicks are started in a brooder in the barn and then moved to movable pens at about 2 weeks old for pasture and sunlight access. Pens are moved to fresh ground daily. All chicken processing will be done on the farm with care and respect for the chickens.

Our pigs are local feeder pigs that are also on pasture and supplemented with Brewer's grains and vegetables. They will be ready for slaughter in the fall. We also are proud to announce that we have a Large Black Hog, a heritage breed known for their ability to thrive on pasture and woodland. We plan to raise her to breed and will have meat from some of her piglets when available, as well as breeding stock.

Eggs are available for purchase at the farm. Please call ahead. Broilers are sold as whole birds, not pieces, and priced per pound. Pork available in limited supply in the fall. Please call or visit our website to order.

Pure Indian Foods is a small family-owned business that takes pride in making an exceptional quality grass-fed and certified organic GheelogoGolden colored Ghee is prepared by melting and simmering butter until all the water evaporates and the milk solids settle at the bottom. The remaining butter oil is very stable, giving it a high smoke point which makes it an excellent choice for deep fat frying, baking and sautéing.  Because of the low moisture content, it can be stored without refrigeration for 2-3 months. Many people find our ghee, with its rich, nutty flavor, to be tastier than butter.

We make our ghee fresh, with care, in small batches, right here in the USA. Our products are USDA Certified Organic. We use butter made only in Springtime through the Fall, when the cows are actually out on the pasture eating fresh green grass. We make our ghee only on the waxing or full moon days which are auspicious in the ancient Vedic system. We use glass bottles instead of plastic bottles to avoid dangerous toxic chemicals from leeching from plastic containers. Our family has been in the ghee business in India for 5 generations, since 1889, and we are proudly continuing that tradition.

Ghee has been used for its health-giving and healing properties for thousands of years.  In Ayurveda (the “science of life”), cow ghee is considered one of the most sacred foods.

Ghee is the best cooking oil as it is stable at higher temperatures, and it enhances the flavor of spices and herbs. Ghee is free of casein and lactose and is suitable for people who are allergic to dairy products. It keeps skin soft, and has anti-aging properties. Ghee contains naturally occurring CLA, Omega-3, Vitamins A, D, E & K2. It is free of harmful trans-fats.

Ghee is shelf-stable and we ship worldwide by USPS, UPS, FedEx or DHL.  We offer special discounts to co-ops and buying clubs.
