Marble Creek Farmstead in Sylacauga, AL is a sustainable family farm growing humanely-raised, all-natural pastured meats and eggs. Our meats include pasture-raised chicken, pasture-raised pork, grass-fed beef, grass-fed lamb, pasture-raised duck, pasture-raised turkey, pasture-raised goose, pasture-raised guinea, pasture-raised goat, and non-GMO-fed rabbit. We also have pasture-raised, non-GMO-fed chicken and duck eggs.

We have a diverse set of species doing rotational grazing on a 40-acre farm with mostly open pasture and plenty of woods. All our animals are moved around our pasture to stay on fresh grass, but our pigs and chickens also receive a non-GMO, grain-based feed. Our hogs will travel through our woods in the winter to eat acorns, and our goats love to eat privet and other forage in the woods.

The animals are processed at our very own on-farm USDA-inspected facility. We sell a variety of cuts (like bacon, steaks, sausages, and chicken breast, as well as whole birds and rabbits), all in vacuum-sealed packages for best shelf life.

Sylacauga – the Marble City – is about an hour from Birmingham, Montgomery, Anniston, Hoover, or Auburn, and about two hours from Atlanta.

We sell our full range of products at Pepper Place Farmer's Market in Birmingham every Saturday morning; Local Source, a grocery store in 5 pt Bha; and through a meat membership, mostly in Birmingham. Our Facebook page, Instagram account, and website have updates on what we're up to.

We do ship anywhere in the US.

Red Briar Farms is a small, family owned cattle farm in the foothills of the Cheaha Mountains. We raise registered heritage Highland cattle for herd improvement and sustainable meat production.

Highland cattle are particularly well suited to low stress, low management environments, and finish beautifully on grass. Due to a double hair coat, they do not need a heavy layer of backfat for insulation, allowing them to marble naturally, and produce lean, high quality cuts of beef. Highlands are slow maturing, making their meat flavorful and succulent. Our herd is raised on wide open pastures of mixed native grasses, clover and fescue, using rotational grazing and sustainable pasture management for the health of the land and the cattle. They are antibiotic- and hormone-free, and all grass-fed. They receive hay only the few short months of winter when the pastures are dormant. Our fescue hay is produced on our own farm.

Harvesting is done at a local certified facility to reduce stress from transportation. Beef is sold by the whole, half, or quarter carcass. We will ship. Please see the website for photos of our beautiful animals, and more information on the breed.

We received an award from the Good Food Foundation for our Farmstead Cheese this year (total of 231 entries).

We are a small family farm and milk around 120 cows and have about another 140 animals on the farm. We have been a closed herd for the last 6 years. No vaccines are given.

Cheeses made from pasteurized milk:

  • Gouda and Aged Gouda
  • Farmstead and Aged Farmstead
  • Farmstead with chive, garlic, parsley and onion
  • Farmstead with celery, garlic, parsley and onion

Raw milk cheeses: All we have left is Gouda with the chive blend.

We do ship our cheese and butters.

On the farm we have an honor system in place: drive up to the farm fridge, grab what you like and leave cash, check in money box by the door, or use the Venmo app.

Alaska

Faith Farms offers true young lamb at six months to the end user customer. The Sire is a registered Shetland and the Dams are cross bred Shetland and South Down. The lamb is sold cut, vacuum-packed and quick frozen. Lambs average about 30 to 40 pounds net weight and are shipped Fed-X or USPS Express Mail. The lambs, packaging (insulated with cardboard outer) are shipped after payment by money order or cashiers check. We are not set up yet for credit card payments.

Faith Farms produces about 30-40 lambs a season. They nurse their mothers in some cases up to slaughter and are left with their Dam the whole spring, summer and fall season. They feed on the luxurious native wild grasses interspersed with clovers and herbaceous plants. Graze time is usually six months out of the year, but all year long they have access to willow tips and other buds and native bushes. They are fed primarily native hay baled close to the mineral rich beaches where they live their lives in a placid stress free environment.

The meat is cut by a very experienced butcher and are dispatched quickly and humanely. We are not organically certified, but all of our land is managed with organic fertilizers (fish meal, fish bones, and crab shells produced locally). There are also green crops tilled under and and manure spread on the fields. Granulated kelp and beach peat from the sea (kelp) is also used for fertilization.

Faith Farms also offers raw wool, handmade soap, and a limited amount of Certified Garlic Seed and Certified Alaska Potato Seed. All seed has been certified by the State of Alaska and is Disease-Free.

Faith Farms only sells lambs to the person eating the product. Whole lambs must be purchased. Please call for more information. Watch and help us grow.

Hat Creek Grown is located in a beautiful valley between Mt. Shasta and Mt. Lassen in northeastern California. Our beef live their entire lives eating grass.

We have bred our cattle to have superior genetics for marbling and conversion of grass and sunlight into delicious, natural beef. They are raised humanely and free range their entire lives. They are artificial hormone, ionophore free and are never fed antibiotics or animal by products. Our beef are the best of the art and science of true grass fed and finishing.

We are fourth generation, managing the lands that our forbears managed … in a sustainable manner. We are beyond organic, but we are not certified organic. No fossil fuel inputs or chemicals of any kind have been used on our property for over twenty years. We make our own compost that we spread on our fields and we rotate our cattle through lush pastures. We can truly tell in the response of our soil and the sweetness of the grass we produce.

Customers can buy our beef by contacting Stemple Creek Ranch. As we are aging, we worried about who may carry on our legacy of great beef. We found a wonderful family, twenty years younger than us, that share our ethics with stewardship of the land and our beef.

One customer's response was “Quite frankly, the best beef I have ever eaten!” We have many repeat customers that now just drop us a line and say,“we are ready for another wonderful shipment, please send along what you did last time.”

We welcome your inquiry into our beef!

The Lost Coast Ranch is located on slopes overlooking the Pacific Ocean, straddling the Mattole River in Humboldt County, California—the northern end of BLM's Lost Coast Trail. Pastures have green feed year round owing to the abundant winter rains and periodic summer fogs. Temperatures are moderate, very rarely below freezing and not exceeding 80 degrees F in summer.

Our herd of CCOF certified organic, grass fed and finished beef enjoy the peace of an ocean view and extremely low stress management. Cow families are kept together, rather than separated according to age and size. Density is low and we employ rotational grazing, moving them on horseback, and not by trailer. We like the animals entrusted to our care to have the same stress-free life we choose for ourselves.

If you would like to purchase meat directly from us, we offer quarter, half or whole beef or 50# boxed selections (the same cuts in quarters, but fewer packages). Shipping is by FedEx 2nd Day delivery anywhere in the US or you can pick meat up in Ferndale or Oakland.

There's a lot more to our practices, philosophy and product than can fit on this entry. So, if you are interested, give us a call or e-mail. You can also come visit us and enjoy life on the ranch, beach or river.

Chilancoh Ranch is an historic cattle ranch established in 1887 by the Bayliff family, who still own and operate the ranch today. We are located in the pristine and isolated Chilcotin plateau, in the interior of BC, Canada, and welcome visitors.

We sell natural, grass-fed beef that is produced sustainably using environmentally sound practices, no chemical fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, growth hormones or antibiotics (except when medically necessary). Our cattle graze wild grasses and herbs on range and pasture lands in the spring, summer and fall, and bale-graze on pastures in the winter, fertilizing our lands as they go.

Cattle are treated humanely and we use low-stress handling practices. We partner with Rodear Meats, a local, licensed, and provincially inspected abattoir located in Beaver Valley, east of Williams Lake, to provide our high quality cuts and products. Chilancoh Ranch provides healthy, nutritionally-packed beef full of omega 3s, CLAs, vitamin E, and more for the health of our customers.

Beef can be ordered in various sized packages, as well as by the quarter and the side, throughout the year. Shipping to anywhere in BC can be arranged for the customer and is paid for by the customer. It may be possible for the Ranch to deliver larger orders for buying clubs. Also, we encourage customers to come out to the Ranch: camping can be arranged, and we can make recommendations for activities and sights to see in our beautiful, wild Chilcotin.

On TK Ranch we believe that nutrient-dense foods offer people a diet that supports good health and a strong immune system. We offer consumers dry-aged Alberta grass-fed beef, grass-fed lamb and heritage pasture raised pork. Our cattle and sheep are not fed any grain – we use the pasture model from birth to slaughter.

Our animals are born, raised and fed outside on large native grass pastures. Unlike organic and conventional grain finished beef and lamb, our animals are never confined in feedlots. Our animals never receive antibiotics, animal by-products, chemical insecticides, growth hormones or ionophores. Our land is never sprayed with chemical herbicides, pesticides or fertilizers.

We fence sensitive riparian habitat, use solar waterers and manage for endangered and threatened species. We are involved with wildlife rescue, rehabilitation and release. We have received several awards for our commitment to the environment including the 2010 National Prairie Conservation Award.

We also have a strong commitment to animal welfare – we calve and lamb during the warm spring and summer. We use freeze brands on our cattle, practice low stress livestock handling, and move our animals frequently onto fresh pastures. Our sows are not kept in farrowing or gestation crates – they are allowed to nest naturally and and are not separated from their piglets at any time. Their piglets are not weaned until 12 weeks of age. Our beef and pork (and soon lamb) is certified humane by the British Columbia SPCA. We use a small government inspected family owned abattoir and personally handle our animals right to slaughter to ensure they are treated humanely and with respect.

Our products are available retail in Airdrie, Calgary, Edmonton and Stony Plain in several health food stores. Customers can also order direct from us. We personally deliver to our customers located in Edmonton and Calgary and surrounding areas. We ship via refrigerated truck across Canada.

The James Ranch faced a fork in the road in 1992. Should the three families living on the land turn the land into a golf course and housing development for the rapidly growing Durango community, or should they devote themselves to grassfarming instead? The land had been in the James family since 1961, the family was very attached to it, and the third generation was just coming up. After spending two years considering all aspects—most importantly the impact on the family and grandchildren—they chose grassfarming.

Today their many grateful customers rely on their grassfed beef. The beef is available by mail and you are invited to view our website to place an order.

Stuart Family Farm is located in picturesque Bridgewater, CT, an hour from Hartford and New Haven, and 1 1/2 hours from New York City. We raise 100% grass fed beef, pastured pork, and pastured poultry. We have been Animal Welfare Approved since 2008 and take great pride in the excellent quality of life we provide for all our animals. Our farm is free of herbicides and pesticides and we treat any illnesses or injuries holistically.

Our beef herd is comprised of Red Angus and Red Angus crossbred cattle. We purchase all of our breeding bulls from Pharo Cattle Company in Colorado, a leading producer AWA logoof grass fed bulls. We choose bulls based on their ultrasound scores for marbling and tenderness, as well as fleshing ability and moderate frame size. Customers get an incredible eating experience.

We carry a large selection of cuts at our farm stand and offer a home delivery service statewide and to Westchester County, NY. Beef is available in individual cuts, or by the side or quarter. All beef is USDA inspected, vacuum-packed, and labeled. The Stuart Family Farm Stand is located at 191 Northup Street in Bridgewater. It is open Saturdays (10–4) and Sundays from (12–4) year-round.

We sell pork by the side or quarter only, and sell whole broiler chickens as well. Our pigs and chickens are raised outside in green pastures. We raise Freedom Ranger chickens, a great alternative to a Cornish-cross broiler. They are a very rich tasting chicken that is much more suited for an outdoor environment. Our customers rave about them. Our pigs are a Berkshire/Duroc cross that also thrives on outdoor pastures. They are lean with lots of flavor. When you purchase a side or quarter of pork you receive loin chops, spare ribs, ham, tenderloin, shoulder, bacon and sausage. Our beef, pork and chicken are also available at Chamomile Natural Foods in Danbury, CT

Berriedale Farms is located in the Cowpasture River Valley of Virginia.

Nelson Hoy and Lizzie Biggs are conservationists and how we manage the farm's forests and grasslands, river and drafts are governed by a progressive conservation easement held by The Nature Conservancy. Nelson and Lizzie have made life-long commitments to preserve the unique grass fed genetics of heritage Red Poll cattle and to breed critically rare Suffolk draft horses. We endeavor to raise the healthiest and the most flavorful, tender and juicy grass-fed and -finished beef anywhere east of the Mississippi River.

  • Red Poll cattle at Berriedale Farms are raised on native grasses, legumes and forbs.
  • Berriedale allows its cattle the time, space and peacefulness necessary to live into full maturity.
  • We do not rush our cattle to market and sacrifice beef quality for the economy of throughput.
  • Berriedale does not use growth hormones, prophylactic antibiotics or insecticide implants.
  • Nelson and Lizzie ensure that our Red Poll cattle have free access to cool, clear and water.
  • Red Poll cattle at Berriedale Farms have free-choice access to essential minerals and salt.
  • We do not use herd dogs, electric cattle prods or separate individuals from their herd mates.
  • Berriedale Farms patronizes a certified humane meat processing plant.
  • Veterinary care includes vaccinations, antibiotics, surgeries and fly control measures.

Berriedale Farms, Nelson and Lizzie serve health-conscious families that value environmentally-sound farm practices and who choose to patronize a small family farm in rural Appalachia. We harvest ten (10) beeves each year and that's it. Nelson and Lizzie enjoy an extended “family” relationship with about 200 households, most located within 200-odd miles. Many families with children visit Berriedale Farms and stay in our Cabin on the Cowpasture.

Florida

Circle C Farm is the first-and-only, on farm, USDA, red and white meat, federally inspected abattoir and butcher shop in Florida and one of only three in the U.S. We are an ALL grass fed, grass finished, free-range and pasture-raised poultry farm. We are the largest pastured poultry farm in Florida and the second largest in the USA, per the USDA.

ALL our livestock live their lives on pasture, including our laying hens. We raise the best, cleanest meats and produce the BEST eggs in the country. We have beef, lamb, pork, chicken, turkey, duck, chicken eggs, honey from our 125 beehives, and make our own raw pet grind from the same meats and organs we eat.

Everything we do with our livestock is by hand: harvesting, butchering, and packaging. We are a NO-antibiotic, hormone, pesticide, herbicide or insecticide farm. We use no preservatives on or in our meats: NO MSG, nitrites, nitrates, etc. Our poultry and eggs receive NO corn, soy, or glutens. We are not Certified Organic, but go FAR BEYOND the NOP criteria, as we use nothing!

We also offer other Florida farmers and ranchers the services of our abattoir, so they too can harvest their livestock in a humane and respectful way. Because we harvest under federal Inspection, they can also sell that meat legally to others.

We take great pride in what we do and how we do it and are grateful to be able to do what we love. We are a Certified Women’s Business Enterprise and a Fresh From Florida Farm.

We ship throughout the US year-round with dry ice via FedEx.

We are completely open to the public and our centrally located farm store is open six days/week. We accept most forms of payment, including EBT / SNAP. We also sell our products at several local locations--check our website for details.

Our pricing is available on our website, which is maintained daily, so it is always up to date.

Florida Fresh Beef Company, conveniently located in North Central Florida, produces 100% gourmet grass fed, organically raised, Aberdeen Angus beef from free-range cattle that are raised on 850 acres of lush shaded pasture in Citra, Florida. They feast on a salad bar of pesticide-free "gourmet" forage including clover, wheat, oat and rye grass.

The cattle are then harvested not more than 40 miles away at a USDA inspected facility. Once processed, the carcasses are hung in an air ventilated refrigerated locker for up to 28 days for our "old school" dry-aging process. This process naturally tenderizes the meat and enhances its taste. The beef is then cut into gourmet roasts, steaks and Angus Burger—a local Ocala favorite. Each cut of beef, whether roast or steak, is individually packed in a vacuum bag and air sealed for freshness. Beef is available by the individual cut, various Variety Packs (saving $$$), or by the whole, half, quarter or eighth beef.

Florida Fresh Beef Company, established in 2008, is proud to be one of the first companies in almost 20 years to produce fresh local meat available to the public under USDA inspection. Our relationships with various like-minded grass-fed cattle ranchers throughout the state have allowed us to develop a consistent supply of healthy, delicious, local Florida beef available in bulk or individual cuts throughout the year.

Florida Fresh Beef Company ships throughout the state of Florida, Georgia, the Bahamas and US Virgin Islands, as well as the continental USA. A South Florida supply outlet is currently in development for the distribution of both regular and Glatt Kosher beef. We have also sucessfully developed a share program for CSA’s and Buying Clubs. We can divide a carcass into 8 or 16 equal shares to make it affordable for families to get the benefit of buying the bulk beef in smaller quantities while still saving. We do the shipping!

Visit our website for information on how to order and to locate farmers markets where you can buy our beef.

Pasture Prime Wagyu produces 100% Grass-fed WAGYU “American Kobe” Beef.

We are among only a handful of farms in this country that produce 100% grass-fed Wagyu beef. The majority of our herd is purebred Wagyu. Over 90% of Wagyu meat produced in this country is only 50% Wagyu, which can lead to an inconsistent product.

Our Wagyu herd was obtained from the Blue Rock Cattle Co. owned by Jerry Pittenger, a founding father of the Wagyu breed in this country. Our family has been farming on the same homestead since 1976 with a commitment and passion for providing the highest quality products nature will allow. We spent 27 years in the dairy business before transitioning to sustainably raised beef, pork and poultry.

We are certified annually by the American Grass Fed Association and Animal Welfare Approved. We never use any antibiotics, hormones, or animal byproducts and all animals are treated with care and respect.

We raise several heritage breeds of hogs: Berkshire (Korobuta), Chester Whites, and Mangalitsa—the world famous “wooly pigs” from Austria and Hungary. These animals spend most of their days in over 20 acres of wood, foraging for nuts, roots, and insects in addition to their supplemental feeds. The farm-produced bacon, sausage and delicious meats are beyond compare.

We also offer Pasture Raised Heritage White chickens. These birds are fed on a NON-GMO ration and taste like “chicken” is supposed to taste. We process regularly on the farm and can also provide free-range eggs (for pick-up only).

See the Web Store on our website for a list of our products. Meat products can be ordered individually, vacuum packed and frozen. If you don’t see what you want, call/email as we can supply a number of additional items.

Meat purchases can be ordered and picked up @ the Brownwood Farmers Market in The Villages, FL. every Saturday or by appointment at the farm. We also ship by FedEx anywhere in the country. Most Florida FedEx deliveries are normally Next Day.

Many local fine dining establishments have featured our meats. Contact us for restaurant purchasing information.

Lava Lake Lamb is 100% natural Idaho grass-fed lamb – never placed in a feed lot, never given any hormones, never given antibiotics.

Our lambs graze with their mothers and continue to drink mother’s milk all their lives, getting important antibodies for good health and vitality, and making the best-tasting meat. Lava Lake’s lambs also spend most of their lives grazing on wild, fragrant range grasses, herbs and other plants, as Nature intended.

Raised with care by our experienced shepherds, our lambs are truly “free-range.” Traveling from the deserts of the Snake River Plain to the high mountains near Sun Valley, our animals log hundreds of miles during their lifetimes – they are never confined in feedlots. The result is meat that is lean yet tender and flavorful – we think you’ll find it the best you’ve tasted.

Our headquarters is Lava Lake Ranch, located just southeast of Sun Valley in Idaho’s Pioneer Mountains. As a family of ranchers and environmentalists, we are committed to restoring and preserving this land because of its history, its beauty and its biological diversity. We are so committed to this principle that all net profits from our grass-fed lamb sales help fund our land conservation work.

Lava Lake Lamb is available year-round and can be purchased by individual cuts, halves or wholes and shipped anywhere in the U.S. It is USDA-inspected, dry-aged for ten days, then frozen and cryovaced to retain its freshness and flavor.

Kansas

Dale Family Farms is a small farm owned and managed by two generations of Dales. Located in South Central Kansas, we are striving to be sustainable. To do this, we have learned that we must better utilize our resources through improved grazing practices and reduced reliance on fuel and equipment. Over the last few years, we have realized that letting our animals remain in their natural environment—doing what they do best, grazing—is the key to sustainability.

Our beef comes from cattle that are finished on a strict forage diet of legumes, grasses, and forbs. The beef we sell contains no synthetic growth hormones and no antibiotics. When prepared properly, we have found that grass-finished beef is as tender as grain-fed beef with a much richer, fuller, beef flavor. Our grass-finished beef is available by the cut, wholes, halves and quarters.

Laying hens are allowed to free-range during the day, foraging for green grass, seeds and insects. This “salad bar” approach to their diet improves the flavor, texture and nutritional value of the eggs they produce.

Broilers are allowed to free-range during the day and can't even be compared to the industrial chickens you find in the store. Chicken is sold by the cut or as a whole bird.

Turkeys are also allowed to free-range during the day. They are available seasonally.

In 2010, pigs were added to the farm. Our hogs are pastured and allowed to roam tree rows near their pen, digging up roots and grass to supplement their diet. Pork is available by the cut, whole or half.

Dale Family Farms also carries goat and grassfed lamb.

Delivery and shipping are available.

Tallgrass Beef is a pure, natural product of the Great American Prairie. Founded by Bill Kurtis—journalist, rancher, conservationist, and proud owner of The Red Buffalo Ranch in Sedan, Kansas—Tallgrass Beef Company is raising cattle that roam in the open and graze on natural grasses rich in nutrients and high in anti-oxidants. The result is beef that's rich in Omega-3 fatty acids, high in Vitamin E, higher in beneficial unsaturated fat, and lower in saturated fat and cholesterol. You can taste the difference.

Tallgrass works with independent, family-owned farms and ranches to raise cattle in their grass-fed, grass-finished program. Their beef is sold in restaurants, select specialty food and grocery stores, and through their website. Although their office is in Kansas, they are primarily marketing and selling in Illinois.

Maine

Broad Arrow Farm uses regenerative, soil-based methods to raise pigs, lamb, poultry and eggs on pasture and in the woods of Mid-Coast Maine’s Pemaquid Peninsula. We also grow seasonal vegetables.

We sell our products directly to consumers in our on-farm store and through FarmDrop in the Portland, Maine area. We also cold-pack ship our pork and lamb products sold through our online store. Additionally, consumers can find our products in some of Maine’s finest restaurants, butcher shops and specialty grocers.

Although we are not certified organic, we use organic agricultural methods. We never use chemical fertilizers, herbicides or pesticides. We never use GMO products of any kind. We use soy-free, organic feed for all of our livestock—except our lambs and ewes whtich are 100% grass-fed. We have reclaimed more than 30 acres of dense woods, converting them into silvopasture from which all our livestock species can derive plant-based nutrition.

We run a year-round, farrow-to-finish pig operation incorporating heritage breeds (Large Black, GOS, Hereford, Duroc as well as Mangalitsa and Kune Kune) that thrive on forage. Our pigs have free access to pasture and woods all day, everyday. We employ rotational grazing methods to maximize the amount of nutrition our herd derives from forage and to promote soil health.

We chose the Katahdin breed of sheep because it subsists on the more diverse forage environment of our silvopasture. Katahdins also shine as mothers, regularly giving multiple lambs and producing abundant milk.

Our seasonal meat-bird operation includes chickens, turkeys, ducks and geese. We keep a year-round chicken laying flock for on-farm egg sales. Our poultry is processed humanely on-farm and sold in our farm store.

We grow seasonal vegetables from organic seed, using organic compost, fertilizer and mulch when needed, and sell them in our farm store.

Berriedale Farms is located in the Cowpasture River Valley of Virginia. Nelson Hoy and Lizzie Biggs together have made life-long commitments to preserve the unique grass-fed genetics of Red Poll cattle – recognized by the American Livestock Breeds Conservancy as a threatened heritage breed. We endeavor to raise the healthiest and the most flavorful, tender and juicy grass-fed and grass-finished beef anywhere east of the Mississippi River. Our vision is to become the small family farm of choice for 100 households.

  • Red Poll cattle at Berriedale Farms are raised on native grasses, legumes and forbs, and further, finished on grasses.
  • Berriedale Farms does not give our Red Poll cattle growth hormones, prophylactic antibiotics, or insecticide implants.
  • Berriedale Farms ensures that our Red Poll cattle have free access to the same cool, clear and pure water that Nelson, Lizzie and our guests drink at the farm house.
  • Red Poll cattle at Berriedale Farms have free-choice access to essential minerals and salt.
  • Berriedale Farms treats its Red Poll cattle in a humane fashion – i.e., we do not use herd dogs or electric cattle prods, or separate individuals from their herdmates. Additionally, we patronize a certified humane meat processing plant.
  • Red Poll cattle at Berriedale Farms are given the best veterinary care possible, including: vaccinations, antibiotics, surgeries, and multifaceted fly control measures.
  • Berriedale Farms allows its Red Poll cattle the time, space and forage necessary to achieve their natural physiological maturity. In other words, we do not rush to market and sacrifice grass-fed beef quality for the economy of throughput.

Nelson and Lizzie are conservationists. The farm and forest lands, water and river, and heritage livestock breeds of Berriedale Farms are governed by a progressive conservation easement held by The Nature Conservancy.

Chase Hill Farm: The Organic Farmstead Cheese from Chase Hill Farm is handcrafted in small batches from fresh top quality raw milk. We use exclusively the organic-certified milk from our own herd of grassfed cows. Our Original Farmstead Cheese is mild like a Colby or Havarti cheese, but with a unique flavor that retains the "character" of our raw milk. Our cheese has a sweet, creamy flavor and a buttery yellow color that comes from our green grass. We also make a Farmstead Cheese with Garlic, some with Chives, Cheddar, and recently started making 1/2 lb. Organic Camembert rounds.

Chase Hill Farm is an organic-certified family farm in the Pioneer Valley of western Massachusetts. Mark and Jeannette Fellows manage the farm as a grass-based seasonal dairy. Our mission is to produce quality local food from grassfed cows using sustainable low input practices. These practices include rotational grazing, seasonal calving, and using draft horsepower.

Our herd of 30 Jersey, Normandy and Holstein cows milk seasonally from March to December. We feed organic grain for about 8 weeks from calving until grass is ready here in northern Massachusetts, but the rest of the year cows are 100% grassfed.

Our Organic Farmstead Cheeses are available in local stores and farmstands in western Massachusetts, and in some of the Boston-area Bread & Circus stores. We also ship our cheeses. Wheels run around 8 lbs. each. Cost: $50/wheel plus $10/UPS shipping.

Delhi Sustainable Farms is a small family farm that produces 100% grass-fed beef and pasture-raised chicken. We are located about an hour southwest of St. Louis, a beautiful drive down Highway 44.

All our animals spend the majority of their lives grazing our pastures. We plant Sorghum-Sudan grass to supply an extremely high-sugar, high-protein diet for our cattle which allows them to produce wonderful marbling. Our beef is processed by a local USDA inspected processor. Our beef products are not tough or gamey; they simply taste like beef was intended.

Our chickens do get a grain supplement, but the majority of their diet comes from the grasses and bugs. We house them in Salatin-designed chicken tractors that get moved daily. We process the birds ourselves on the farm to reduce the stress in their final days. We have an exemption through the USDA allowing us to do the processing on the farm.

We offer many individual products which can be found on our website. We manage our animals in a way to have products most of the year. There may be a shortage of chicken in the late spring as our winter reserves start running low. We offer bulk beef in whole, halves, and quarters. Bulk beef will be delivered directly to your door (within 100 miles of the farm) for no extra fee. We also offer monthly subscription boxes which come in 10 pounds or 20 pounds, with both beef and chicken in them.

Orders can be picked up on the farm, but we also ship meats across the country via UPS. Boxes ship on Monday and will get to you on Tuesday. We welcome orders from restaurants, co-ops, and grocery stores.

Cash and credit/debit cards are the preferred method of payment. Contact us if you would prefer other forms of payment.

North Bridger Bison is a family-run, family-owned bison ranch located in the Shields Valley of Montana. We focus on producing the healthiest, most regenerative, most delicious bison meat you can buy.

Our bison spend 365 days a year outside on diverse grasslands. And when it comes time to harvesting an animal, we field-harvest each bison on the ranch—as opposed to putting them on a truck and hauling them to a feedlot or a slaughterhouse somewhere.

Field-harvesting is unique, and it's the most ethical and humane practice—with no stress for the animal and no stress in the meat, which leads to unbelievably healthy and delicious bison meat.

We ship throughout the United States via UPS, and we would be more than happy to answer any questions you have.

We are also strongly committed to conservation, and our ranch is home to a wide variety of wildlife.

Pick the bundle that works best for you, order online, and we can ship it to your doorstep (for free!). We ship anywhere in MT, ID, WA, OR, UT, WY, ND, and CO, with other states available upon request.

If you are close by and want to make a day of it, we love having people come to the ranch to see our operation when picking up their order. You can see the bison, the pigs, the friendly cows, and a couple fuzzy miniature donkeys.

Our products are individually vacuum sealed. Only want one steak? No problem! Animals are processed at a local USDA facility, and dry age 14 days before packaging.

About the ranch: We are a built-from-the-ground-up, first generation ranch. We fully embrace sustainable and regenerative agriculture practices. We aren’t battling tradition to implement new ideas as we find them, and the quality of our products is a great example of how effective newer practices can be.

Roaming Bison Ranch is in St. Ignatius, MT. All our animals are slow grown and harvested when they are truly “finished.” Our grass-finished beef (and even bison) have wonderful marbling. Intramuscular fat is deposited in grass finished animals after most of the animals’ bone growth is completed, so age 24–30 months is an ideal time to harvest. No sub-therapeutic antibiotics, no grain, nothing unnatural.

Animal wellbeing and product quality are our main priorities. Everything goes hand-in-hand, and having healthy soil means healthy pasture, which means healthy, happy, delicious animals.

The Anoka-Butte Lumber Company – Marlowe Farm's is a small grass based farm located in the hills of Northern Nebraska. The Anoka-Butte Lumber Company was owned and operated by my family from 1936-1993. I am in the process of resurrecting it. Hogs and cattle were a part the family business.

I moved onto this farm in August of 2003. I raise cattle, sheep and pigs. All animals are raised on pasture. Cattle and sheep are fed exclusively grass and a limited amount of hay in the winter months. The cows, sheep and pigs are rotated through a series of paddocks. The pigs are fed varying amounts of grain depending on class. Sows and gilts graze/forage for the bulk of their diet with some corn fed as an energy supplement and to keep them docile. Growing pigs are fed a ground corn/soybean ration. Low-grain pork and No-grain pork are available upon request.

By keeping livestock in the pastures manure is spread evenly across the ground. What manure is collected around the barns is spread on my poorest ground. I'm hoping the application of manure to my poorest ground will in time make it some of my best ground.

At this time I only have pork available for sale. I do ship.

L & L Jacobsen Farm is located in Hamilton County, Nebraska. We raise beef on our quality soils and abundant underground water, which allows us to maintain forage quality and performance during dry periods. We use a blend of cool season grasses and legumes on our pastures. We do not use implants or other artificial hormones, do not use antibiotics on our grass finished animals, and do not feed grain or grain by-products nor animal by-products.

We are not certified organic, however we have not used commercial fertilizers for 2 years on our grass finishing pasture, and do not use herbicides on our pastures. We also are in the commercial hay business, which gives us a consistent source of quality alfalfa and other hays. We do not grow GMO alfalfa or feed GMOs.

Our beef is available year around but we would need up to 8 weeks to accommodate special cutting instructions. It is available by the individual cut, or by quarters, half or whole beef. Our beef is processed in a USDA inspected plant and is vacuum packed for improved shelf life.

We can ship via UPS. We also sell through The Nebraska Food Coop and at the Village Pointe Mall Farmers Market in Omaha NE. It can also be picked up at our farm.

The Perfect "10" Buffalo Ranch has 5,000 acres of certified organic prairie grasses sustaining a herd of 800 grass-finished bison. The ranch is large enough to allow the bison to roam at will on native prairie grasses, and the herd size is sufficient to recreate the natural social order of the animals. The end result is a low stress, healthy environment similar to the open plains of hundreds of years ago.

The Hutchinsons offer their "Tatonka Gourmet Bison" in quarters, halves, and whole animals. Individual cuts, 20# packages, and summer sausage are available as well. The meat is sold in Lincoln, Nebraska at the Ideal Grocery, Aikin's Health Food Store, and Open Harvest. (The meat is distributed to other retail stores throughout the area by Pegler-Sysco Distributors.) The meat can be shipped UPS anywhere in the United States. New: bison jerky in five different varieties is now available for sale as well!

Straight Arrow Bison Ranch of Broken Bow, NE is located in the heart of the state's grasslands. We have been raising and marketing bison meat since 1995.

In 1995 when we started raising bison we followed the conventional pattern of feeding grain to finish the bison. After reading the information on www.eatwild.com and other sources about the benefits of total grass-feeding, we began marketing a few bison which were 100% grass-finished. After receiving favorable responses from our customers, we converted to 100% grass-feeding for all of them. AGA-logo-bison

Our animals do not receive any vaccinations, hormones, animal by-products, or antibiotics. We add apple cider vinegar to their water supply to keep them healthy and have had no need for other treatments since we started that. We believe in feeding the microbes in the soil to produce healthy animals which will nourish healthy people.

The animals are field-harvested to prevent stress prior to slaughter. They are shot and bled in the pasture, then dressed out in a state-inspected on-farm facility. The hanging quarters are transported by refrigerated truck to a USDA facility for packaging. The meat is sold by individual packages (steaks, roasts, stew meat, hamburger, summer sausage, hot dogs, jerky) or in bundles of various size.

We make monthly deliveries to Grand Island, Kearney, North Platte and McCook as well as having the meat available at our ranch. The meat is also available from Lone Tree Foods in the Lincoln/Omaha area and at Wildflour Grocer in O’Neill, NE. We can also ship by UPS.

We have freeze-dried raw organ meat pieces for dogs or cats; all the nutrition of raw with the convenience of dry food. We are also experimenting with freeze-dried bone broth.

Bleached skulls, tanned hides and a few other items such as vests and purses from hides are also available.

Pure Indian Foods is a small family-owned business that takes pride in making an exceptional quality grass-fed and certified organic Ghee.

Golden-colored Ghee is prepared by melting and simmering butter until all the water evaporates and the milk solids settle at the bottom. The remaining butter oil is very stable, giving it a high smoke point which makes it an excellent choice for deep fat frying, baking and sautéing. Because of the low moisture content, it can be stored without refrigeration for 2–3 months. Many people find our ghee, with its rich, nutty flavor, to be tastier than butter.

We make our ghee fresh, with care, in small batches, right here in the USA. Our products are USDA Certified Organic. We use butter made only in Springtime through the Fall, when the cows are actually out on the pasture eating fresh green grass. We make our ghee only on the waxing or full moon days which are auspicious in the ancient Vedic system. We use glass bottles instead of plastic bottles to avoid dangerous toxic chemicals from leeching from plastic containers. Our family has been in the ghee business in India for 5 generations, since 1889, and we are proudly continuing that tradition.

Ghee has been used for its health-giving and healing properties for thousands of years. In Ayurveda (the “science of life”), cow ghee is considered one of the most sacred foods.

Ghee is the best cooking oil as it is stable at higher temperatures, and it enhances the flavor of spices and herbs. Ghee is free of casein and lactose and is suitable for people who are allergic to dairy products. It keeps skin soft, and has anti-aging properties. Ghee contains naturally occurring CLA, Omega-3, Vitamins A, D, E & K2. It is free of harmful trans-fats.

Ghee is shelf-stable and we ship worldwide by USPS, UPS, FedEx or DHL. We offer special discounts to co-ops and buying clubs.

JX Ranch raises your grass-fed, grass-finished, and 21-days dry-aged lean beef from birth to consumption. They are never fed any grains or corn and do not receive added growth hormones, antibiotics, steroids, animal bi-products, or insecticides.

Our cattle graze their entire lives on our native pastures managed using holistic range management principles. We handle them slowly and quietly, which reduces stress that could affect the quality of your meat. We harvest them at 12–17 months, which results in lean, tender and flavorful meat without all the fat of a more mature animal.

For great savings and to keep your freezer stocked, order your custom-cut quarter, half or whole beef starting at $8 per pound. This price includes everything: lifelong grazing on our ranch, transportation to the butcher (we pay the butcher, you do not), 3 weeks dry-aging, all cuts packaged and individually labeled, and, if you live in New Mexico, free delivery in the fall to Las Vegas, Santa Fe, Edgewood (near Albuquerque) or Alamogordo.

If freezer space is limited, try a 10–30 pound Beef Pack which ships UPS. We deliver these year-round to various locations throughout New Mexico.

My husband Tom and I own and operate the 7,000-acre JX Ranch in eastern New Mexico, along the rugged escarpment known as the Caprock. We are proud recipients of the following grazing awards:

  • Society for Range Management Excellence in Range Management Award
  • Holistic Management International Grazing Award
  • Goodyear/NACD Conservation Awards – Award of Merit for Outstanding Accomplishments in Resource Conservation.

Try JX Ranch Natural Beef and join our satisfied customers!

“There is a reason that I drive 450 miles for your beef. Your beef is simply the very best tasting grass fed beef that I have ever had. And believe me, I have searched for beef of equal quality in both Arizona and Oregon, but nothing can match your beef. Incredibly good flavor. Every time I cook even a hamburger, I am just amazed at how much better the flavor is than other beef I have had."

“Mimi, I’m glad I remembered to re-order before you were sold out. I sure loved the beef I purchased last year and can’t thank you enough for continuing to provide such a good and important product. I like eating healthy and have tried other grass fed beef but none that compares to yours.”

Fox Hill Farm is 315 scenic, rolling acres in Ancramdale, New York just 2 hours north of NY City, in the foothills of the Berkshires of MA, CT and near the Taconic Parkway. We raise grassfed & grassfinished beef in an environmentally sustainable manner with rotational grazing of heritage breeds of British White, Murray Grey, Red Devon and crosses. They are very tame and raised organically but not yet certified.

The farm is protected from development by a conservation easement and has been in the Lampman family since 1882. The heritage breeds were chosen because of their ability to do well on grass and produce a healthy and tender, tasty product high in Omega 3 essential fatty acids.

Quarters, halves, or whole beef custom cuts are prepared to customer specifications. We also sell and ship individual packages of steaks, roasts, burger and now terrific hot dogs (PaPa Dogs) that are all-beef, no-nitrate, with a natural casing.

All processing is done at small, local USDA inspected facilities. However, if an animal is purchased on the hoof in advance, then the most humane ‘end’ can be arranged for at the farm. Shipping is available.

Visitors are welcome.

Herondale Farm is a mixed livestock farm. We raise 100% Grass Fed Beef and Lamb, and Pasture Raised Chicken and Pork. We pursue sustainable farming practices through holistic management. By managing land resources in partnership with grazing animals, we strive to increase land productivity, optimize water resources, preserve food sources, create sustainable livelihoods and remove carbon dioxide from our atmosphere.

The Heritage beef breeds of British White and Murray Grey were selected for their century old physiologies which allow them to thrive on our grass fed program.

The Berkshire Cross pigs and Cornish Rock chickens enjoy a varied diet combining grass, alfalfa, clover and bugs from the pasture, in combination with an organic feed mix. This produces a high quality tasty meat high in omega 3s.

Pork, chicken and beef are readily available. There is fresh chicken every weekend until late October. Our products can be ordered direct from our website and shipped via UPS, or pick-up at the farm, with a farm-stand open between Memorial and Labor Day on Tuesday thru Saturday, 10–5 and Sundays, 11–2.

Carolina Gold Oyster Company strives to provide the highest quality products. Two years ago, Tyler Chadwick (owner) started his oyster campaign for fresh, local oysters to harvest himself. He began the day out on the water trying to find wild oysters that were not in private beds. The quality and abundance he found was exceptionally low. So, Tyler started to consider an oyster lease that would allow him to provide his community with a 100% organic, 100% sustainable oyster. Once he decided that was what he was going to do, he immediately did research, discovering what it takes to grow an oyster from start to finish. He learned it was going to be a tedious process. Tyler applied for a lease through the NC Division of Marine Fisheries and after 8 long months, was granted the lease!

Carolina Gold Oysters will be the meaning of a true wild oyster. They are grown in the wild, just like any other wild oyster, feeding off the natural plankton and algae organisms that already grow in the water. Carolina Gold Oysters grow in a floating bag system that hold the oysters just below the surface of the water and just above the beach. This area of the water column offers the highest quality of food Mother Nature supplies and prevents them from being gritty and muddy when harvested.

A Carolina Gold Oyster grows from a 10 to 12-millimeter seedling to a full 3-inch oyster, taking between 6-9 months (fastest growing) and 10-18 months (slowest growing). An oyster that grows in the mud takes about 3 years to grow to full size.

Skip the hassle of going to the fish market and order your oysters directly from Carolina Gold Oyster Company. When you order oysters from us, you never have to worry about how long they have been sitting in a refrigerator. Once we receive your order, we harvest the oysters and ship them the next day. We can ship all over the country.

Enjoy the Gold of Eastern North Carolina and order your oysters online today!

Ayers Valley Farm has a passion for raising our livestock the way nature intended. We do not use antibiotics, growth hormones or GMOs (genetically modified organisms). We are organically-minded and we take pride in providing premium grass fed finished beef, silvopasture-raised pork and pasture-raised poultry for meat.

Our grass fed, finished herd is made of South Poll and Angus cattle. They are rotated daily to fresh diverse forage with access to clean water and 20 different types of minerals. This process produces a well-marbled meat that the whole family will enjoy.

Our pork is fed a non-GMO, soy-free feed to supplement their daily salad bar while living their best lives under a beautifully developed combination of trees and forage. The taste and juiciness of forest-raised pork will make your taste buds thank you!

Our poultry are moved daily to make sure they get their fill of fresh grass, bugs and plenty of sunshine. They are also fed a non-GMO, soy-free feed to supplement anything that mother nature cannot provide. This chicken will make you wonder why you've ever purchased it from the grocery in the past.

Through the years, we have partnered with nature to practice regenerative agriculture. We strive to ensure that our farmland is continuously improving for our livestock to feed your family. We care about how our meat is raised, so we decided to raise it ourselves. We quickly discovered that there is a difference with farm fresh meat; we want you to experience it too!

We take no shortcuts! We want to be your source for nutritious meat!

We can ship our frozen meat directly to your door anywhere in the USA or you can pick up on the farm by appointment. We look forward to hearing from you!

Canal Junction Natural Meats & Farmstead Cheese is a grass-based farming operation where we believe in raising our animals for food the way God intended them to be raised. We have a dairy herd along with beef, pork, lamb, broilers, turkeys and layers. We direct market all of the products that we produce on the farm. We recently started to make Raw Milk cheese from our own milk.

The dairy, beef, and lambs are 100% grassfed. They do not receive any grain. The pork, broilers, turkeys and layers all are raised on pasture and are given supplemental feed. The broilers and turkeys are moved every 24 hours to another section of pasture. The layers are free ranged within the paddocks that we have the cattle in.

We have very heavy clay soil that at one time was a swamp (The Great Black Swamp). It has been drained off since the second half of the 19th century. What was left behind was a soil that is extremely high in naturally occurring minerals. Through proper utilization of grass farming we capitalize on the available nutrients for grazing animals, which in return makes the final product more nutrient dense. It has been said that food grown on heavy clay soil is some of the best tasting in the world. Find out for yourself today. Order some cheese or stop by the farm and buy some meat to try for yourself.

We sell the raw milk cheese and meat off the farm. The meat is in nice sized small packages and the cheese is in approximately 3/4 lb packages. Bigger blocks of cheese are available, just ask. The cheese we will ship, the meat must be bought through the farm store. We do have a wholesale price for the cheese for any retailers or restaurant owners. Cheeses available include Cheddar, Colby, Jack, Garlic & Herb, Jack & Dill, Pepper Jack, Italian Herb, Black Swamp Gouda, Miami Erie Canal Swiss and Wabash Erie Canal Gruyere.

Meat is also offered in bulk. Beef is available by the whole, half, quarter, or half of a half. Pork and lamb are offered by the whole or half. Unless other arrangements are made, it is the customer's responsibility to pick up bulk orders from the butcher shop once the order is finished.

We offer sales by the cut, bundles, and quarter and half pork and beef shares to stock your freezer.

Visit our farm store to shop by the cut (check our website or Facebook page for current store hours), or we ship orders within Ohio and most of the eastern US each week.

Cedar Park Grazing’s ranch headquarters is in the small town of Riddle, Oregon. If you are looking for pasture-raised and pasture-finished beef or lamb we invite you to look at what we offer.

Our animals are raised using gentle, low-stress handling methods, with rotational grazing to ensure excellent health. They are never exposed to antibiotics or hormones, and they eat exclusively non-GMO pasture grass nine months of the year with some additional grass hay during winter months. They never see a feed lot or corn.

Jo Robinson, host of this website, has done her research and she provides ample evidence on this site for the health benefits of meat from pasture-raised animals. We have linked to her site for years from our initial website, UmpquaValleyLamb.com.

Your order will be shipped cold in specially chosen wool-insulated boxes with 1–2 delivery. Wool is a great insulator (ask the sheep!), and it enables us to avoid using Styrofoam. Most of our orders are shipped to west coast locations, although we’ve filled orders on the east coast as well, with meat still cold on arrival!

We raise our cattle with no added inputs (no synthetic hormones, no antibiotics, no gmo feed, no pesticides). Our natural pastures are planted with a variety of grasses and forbs that grow best in our climate and give the best nutrition to the cattle. During the winter we feed hay produced on our farm. We raise both Black and Red Angus from genetic stock bred to be best at processing grass into tender, tasty, and marbled meat.

Our beef is processed once a year after 90 days finishing on sugar-rich spring grass. We use a distinguished USDA plant nearby. Cuts are quick frozen and kept stored in our freezers at below zero degrees. We ship in insulated boxes with cold packs that keep the meat frozen until you can transfer to your own freezer. You may also choose to pick up your purchases at the ranch. Visit our website for more information and to shop.

Lostine Cattle Company employs the same sustainable, estate wine-growing philosophies as Leonetti Cellar and FIGGINS, the other Figgins Family Wine Estate brands, and applies them to the growing and harvesting of Scottish Highland Beef Cattle.

Raised in the pristine Wallowa Valley in Eastern Oregon, the cows are allowed to graze freely for their entire life on a superb grass mixture in an Oregon Tilth certified organic, biologically-farmed pasture. The cattle are never fed hormones or antibiotics, and as a final treat, they sometimes enjoy Pommace (pressed out grape skins) from our estate wineries.

We humanely harvest at a natural maturity age of 28-36 months, which intensifies flavor and quality of the beef. The beef is then dry aged for up to 28 days prior to being processed by our artisanal butcher. The meat is then cryovac packaged and immediately frozen.

Lostine Cattle Company strives to produce the most sustainable, finest quality beef available anywhere. We offer a combination of premium cuts such as steaks, along with roasts and other popular & classic cuts as a part of our quarter, half and whole beef program.

For more information about purchasing Lostine Cattle Company beef, please visit our website. To purchase a quarter, half or whole beef please call us directly at 1-877-581-9618. We offer delivery to Seattle, Portland, Tri Cities, and Spokane as well as split shipping options if freezer space is a concern.

Farmstead Fresh, Inc. My names is Eldore Hanni. I was born and raised in the cheese business in Wisconsin. Over a period of 50 years, I established several large cheese factories.

About 5 years ago, I repented of making cheese from force fed dairy animal milk. I now only work with sustainable agriculture family dairy farms who only feed their cows grass, hay, and sprouts. I help them build miniature cheese making facilities on their farms and train them in making fome of the world's most delicious and nutritious health producing grass fed raw milk cheese products.

We ship these products across the nation under our Farmstead cheese label. We welcome wholesale orders of 20 pounds or more. All buying clubs qualify for wholesale shipments.

Sugar Hill Farm is an ecologically oriented farm specializing in Scottish Highland 100% grass fed certified organic beef. We are certified by Pennsylvania Certified Organic.

Our animals graze on 200 acres in the rolling hills of north central Pennsylvania. They are humanely treated throughout their lives. All animals are born and raised on our farm.

After reaching a suitable age and weight, our animals are humanely slaughtered and butchered by a certified organic butcher. The beef is then flash frozen and vacuum sealed.

Scottish Highland cattle are one of the oldest breeds of heritage cattle and are highly suited to grass diet. Our pastures and fields are continuously improved through application of organic minerals and managed grazing. The combination of an excellent breed and the high quality grass result in beef that is tender and tasty.

We deliver in several areas of Pennsylvania and custom shipping is available.

Willow Springs Farm has been farmed for 13 years without artificial chemicals of any kind. In trying to farm in harmony with nature, we raise everything on native pasture with the seasons. We are committed to preserving our land as well as raising healthy, quality food for ourselves and others.

We raise sheep, chickens, and rabbits. Currently we have a limited supply of aged raw sheep milk cheese (cracked pepperjack) pastured chickens (frozen) and rabbit. Our rabbits are currently raised in a building, but we are working on a pasture growing system for this summer. Our lambs are raised on pasture, no grain. Our sheep milk is produced entirely from pasture. Due to cost and availability, our chickens do receive non-organically grown feed, but with no hormones or antibiotics, and are moved to fresh pasture 1–2 times daily.

Processing of all products is done by hand by local small family operations. Fresh products are available from June through October by pre-order. Frozen chicken, rabbit, and lamb are available year round. Call, write or e-mail for price and availability. We will ship, but love to have our customers visit to share the beauty of our farm.

We believe in giving the animals what they were naturally made to consume.

Our grass-fed beef has very desirable marbling qualities. One of the keys to our quality of beef is that we have performance genetics that finish and allow for processing around 18–20 months of age ensuring tenderness and flavor.

Wild Idea Buffalo Company was started by owner, rancher, author Dan O'Brien. Wild Idea Buffalo Co. was conceived by Dan's environmental concerns and prairie restoration passions. By using the native specie "Buffalo" as a tool in those endeavors, not only are the eco-systems improving, but we are also able to produce the healthiest red meat available today. The buffalo are raised on two ranches, which are located on the prairie in the shadow of the Black Hills of South Dakota.

Our animals roam in large pastures and are 100% grass fed. They are never subjected to antibiotics, growth hormones, steroids or confinement. In addition to that, we harvest the animals humanely in the field under state inspection.

Wild Idea Buffalo Meat is lower in calories, cholesterol and fat then any other red meat or chicken available. Although we are a small company, we do supply like minded health food markets and restaurants that support sustainable agriculture such as Staple & Spice Health Food Store in South Dakota, Harraseeket Inn, Freeport ME; Heatland Cafe, Chicago IL; Vincent's, Phoenix AZ; and The Gilbert House, Gilbert AZ.

Wild Idea Buffalo meat offers a variety of cuts. Our product is frozen and shipped directly all over the country, via UPS or Fed-Ex. It is available by calling us directly or through our website. Please visit our website for more information. We look forward to hearing from you.

The Lazy A Ranch, certified by the American Grassfed Association and Animal Welfare Approved, is a member of the British White Cattle Association of America, the American Wagyu Association, and the Texas Wagyu Association. Our ranch is certified, which means that our world class standards have been verified by an independent auditor.

One of our herds is the historic British White breed, once reserved for the English royalty and aristocracy, and enclosed in parks. This herd is headed by B&B Ulysses, an American Fullblood bull. We are currently producing beef from this herd, and The Lazy A Ranch website includes a history of this breed.

Another herd is of the world renowned Japanese Red Wagyu breed, headed by JC Red Star 50, a 99.4% purebred bull. American Kobe Beef will be sold beginning in 2016 from this herd.

The ranch follows organic pasture care with compost teas and liquid organic fertilizer from Sustainable Growth Texas, and follows Holistic Management International principles, including rotational grazing. We do not use pesticides, herbicides, routine antibiotics or growth hormones.

Our animals are tame, moved gently, and live on grassy pasture their entire lives. Most were born on the ranch. In addition to pasture grass our cows eat baled hay, alfalfa, cottonseed meal, and molasses. They are given a free-choice supplement with vitamins, minerals, kelp, and diatomaceous earth. They also get a sea salt block with minerals. We do not use pesticides, herbicides, routine antibiotics, or growth hormones.

The finishing process is begun at the ranch for 60–90 days with unlimited supplementary rations on pasture. Typically, our beef will be 28–30 months old and about 1200 pounds for a heavier, more marbled and flavorful beef according to the protocol of Artisan French labeled beef. They will be individually selected as they reach full growth and desired heaviness and processed by LaGrange Smokehouse, which is also Animal Welfare Approved. Beef will be dry aged for 21 days and shrink wrapped for your freezer.

The Lazy A Ranch is located about one hour from Houston between Bellville and Hempstead in Austin county. We also have a location in Cat Spring. Beef may be picked up at the ranch, in the Texas Medical Center Houston, or may be shipped frozen overnight in Texas. Our price for fall of 2013 is $4 per pound, hanging weight. Tours are available by appointment. Quarters’ inventory and prices are listed on the website. Wholesale meat is also available.

Dirty Spur Cattle Company raises pure bred Texas Longhorns. All of our animals are born and raised right here in Highland, Utah and never leave one of our pastures. They are grass fed from the day they are born to the day they are slaughtered, and are never given any hormones or antibiotics.

We process our meat at the only USDA certified slaughter house in Utah County and we deliver our meat right to your home. You can trust that these cows are all-natural, hormone-free and never given anything but grass to eat all the days of their lives.

Our meat is extremely lean and has been tested at 92–98% lean. Thanks to Texas Longhorn beef, today's health-conscious consumer doesn't have to avoid tender juicy steaks. Not only is Longhorn beef leaner than that of other breeds, it is also lower in saturated fats. The flavorful Longhorn beef has less cholesterol and calories than chicken. Definitely good news for a healthy lifestyle!

"Lean beef is good for you – and the key word is lean. Longhorn meat on the average, contains 10 percent less saturated fat than that of other cattle. That puts lean Longhorn beef on par with skinned boneless white meat of chicken and that fact may come as a surprise to many dieticians." —Dr. Joseph Graham, Cardiovascular Surgeon at St. John's Medical Center in Joplin, Missouri.

We sell our beef in quarters, halves and full cows. You can also purchase ground beef from us in any quantity at any time of year. You can read more about the amazing qualities of Texas Longhorn lean meat on our website. We'd love to talk to you more about these amazing animals. Please give us a call.

Farmers Markets: We are vendors at the Thanksgiving Point Farmers Market on Friday from 3-7pm starting in August and ending in October. We are also vendors at the Happy Valley Farmers Market on Fridays from 5-9pm starting in August and ending in October.

We ship our meat anywhere in the continental US via UPS. Buyer pays shipping costs.

Vermont

At Dayspring Farm we raise Grass-fed Katahdin lambs because this American lamb breed which is a hair sheep naturally produces mild tasting lamb meat. We have found this sheep breed, if properly managed, has the ability to grow and finish efficiently from grass and stored grass feeds. Our cattle are raised naturally on pasture grasses, legumes and forbs grown on the hills of our farm in Southeastern Vermont.

Water for our animals is provided from a dedicated underground spring or from our driven well which is the same water source we use at our home for drinking. Both of these water sources are rich in minerals from deep in the earth. The grass we grow is from re-mineralized soils which we see as the source of health for our stock, plants, and ultimately for ourselves and others who enjoy our special meats. In addition we supplement our stock with organic kelp meal (seaweed) which is a complete source of trace minerals as well as with mineral salt.

Our sheep and lambs are provided with a healthy and peaceful environment with plenty of fresh air, sunshine and exercise. We take pride in how we husband our stock and endeavor to be good stewards of the land and animals, treating both with respect and care.

Breeding stock is sold when available and meat regularly by appointment at the farm. We also sell and ship frozen meat to customers in New England and eastern New York. Orders can be placed on our online store by visiting our web site.

Virginia

J&L Green Farm produces 100% Grass Fed Beef, Forest-Raised Pork, Pasture-Raised Chicken and Turkey.

Our farm is one of the largest pasture-based farrow-to-finish farms in the state of Virginia. Our pigs lead a stress-free life and are raised together from infancy. They are bred carefully to accentuate traits that are highly compatible with their natural environment. Our pigs are fed a natural, sustainable diet of discarded apples from local orchards (August to April), discarded peanuts from regional peanut mills, and GMO-free feed.

Our Grass Fed Beef is pasture-raised with rotational grazing, which means the cows are moved to graze on patches of fresh, pesticide-free grass every few days. This ensures that the cows are eating a nutrient-dense diet of seasonal forage and grasses.

We take great care in raising and producing healthy, humanely raised chickens and turkeys. Only fed GMO-free grains, they are moved frequently in portable shelters to fresh green grass. No antibiotics ever.

Cedar Dawn Farm rests in agricultural Monroe County, West Virginia. Our family oriented operation was established in 2000. We currently raise meat goats, primarily boer/kiko crosses as well as beef cattle that we purchase as yearlings from a local producer. In keeping with an all natural approach, we only use medications or wormers to correct health issues. Our meat animals are rotationally grazed on browse and pasture; not fed corn or grain.

We are a licensed meat distributor and work with a local federally inspected meat processing facility to ensure product quality and to supply our customers with high quality, custom ordered cuts of meat. We typically have ground beef as well as a variety of steaks and roasts as well as goat in the freezer.

Swift Level's rolling 152 acres are located just outside of Lewisburg in Greenbrier County. Family farming in southern WV since 1843, we have a love of land and animals.

Our Angus steers are born "across the fence" on our neighbor's farm where we watch them grow and play with their herd on free pasture grazing and hay. They come "through the gate" to us at 10–12 months of age where we finish them on the same familiar grasses until they have naturally matured to their individual finished weight, between 20–27 months. The steers move about freely on well managed pastures, have abundant flowing clean spring water, and are supplemented only with organic kelp and necessary supported minerals for balanced health. Thoughtful and wise animal husbandry practices insure our animals have the best life we can offer them. We are in compliance with a USDA/NRCS organic land certification program. All streams, springs and woodlands are protected.

We use a small, family run USDA, Animal Welfare Approved abattoir. It is vitally important to us that slaughter is done thoughtfully and carefully. Our beef dry-hangs for a minimum of 30 days. All packaging is vacuum sealed. Tag numbers are imprinted to trace each package of beef from birth to consumer. This delicious beef sells by the cut, no order too small or too large! We process year round and ship direct all over the country.

To order: Please visit our website for cut and price listing, updated weekly

Harmony Valley Farm has been dedicated to growing the highest quality certified organic vegetables for over 40 years. Our farm, located in beautiful southwest Wisconsin, is co-owned by Richard de Wilde and Andrea Yoder. While our focus is on growing vegetables, animals are also an important part of our farm and help us maintain hillside pasture areas not suitable for vegetable production.

Our vegetables and meat are distributed throughout the Midwest through our CSA program. We offer CSA share delivery in the following areas: Minneapolis and St. Paul, MN; Madison, WI and the greater Madison area; La Crosse, WI; Onalaska, WI, Viroqua, WI.

We raise certified organic, grass-fed beef and pastured pork. Our beef cattle are rotationally grazed on pastures in the spring, summer and fall. During the winter we feed organic hay harvested during the summer. Our pigs spend their days exploring the wooded hillsides, returning to their home base at the end of the day to enjoy vegetable scraps from the packing shed. In addition, we supplement their diet with a blend of organic grain.

We choose to raise our animals in an environment where they can exhibit their natural behaviors and characteristics. We treat them gently and with respect so they do not live in fear of human touch or presence. This creates a much more pleasant environment for them to live in and allows us to work amongst them more safely.

We offer a variety of beef and pork packages for delivery in the months of May, November and December. All of our meat is cut and freshly frozen just ahead of delivery.

The Honest Bison started as one family’s quest to eat healthier and get fit. When it turned out that sourcing authentic, unprocessed food was harder to do than it sounds, the family decided to do what they could to change that.

Our ranchers practice a method of ranching called Holistic Management, which promotes the growth of a large variety of native grasses that are in turn used to feed the animals. This enhances the flavor of the meat and eliminates the need for fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, and other chemically enhanced farming practices. In addition to our pasture management, all of our bison are processed at USDA inspected plants. Our bison are raised on holistically managed ranches in South Dakota, Oregon, Montana, and Wisconsin. Our elk and venison are raised in Wisconsin and Minnesota.

We promise The Honest Bison will always provide meat of the highest quality—100% grass-fed and humanely and sustainably raised. If we wouldn’t feed it to our family and friends, we wouldn’t feed it to you.

McCluskey Brothers put the steak in your burger! We're grassfed beef producers, and when we grind our burger, we grind all the cuts but two (ribeye, tenderloin). Think ground sirloin plus. It's a burger beyond anything you've ever tasted.

Just as important, our farm is committed to making the planet a better place. We rotationally graze our cattle, frequently moving the livestock from pasture to pasture. These frequent moves – or “rotations” – give our pastures a period of rest and regrowth between grazings. Roots grow deeper, soils recycle more carbon, plants grow stronger, there's less rain run off and less soil erosion. Biodiversity is enhanced. All with the help of cattle doing what nature has always intended: graze grass.

We choose rotational grazing for a reason. Continuous grazing – giving cattle continuous access to the same pasture for the entire season – actually damages the pasture, weakens the plants and diminishes soil health. Honored to be among the first farms in the country certified Real Organic (2018), we're also USDA certified organic (certifying agency is ICS). And 100% grassfed at Shillelagh Glen Farms means no grain. Ever.

We're the 4th generation on our family farm, a farm founded on the belief everything is connected → everything from the sunshine, soils, plants and cattle on our farm to the food on your family table to the air we all breathe and water we drink. And that's the way we farm.

We're growing wholesome, healthy, flavorful food with sunshine, grass, and the rich organic soils of Shillelagh Glen Farms. Try McCluskey Brothers' grassfed beef and cheese, and maple syrup. Inquiries about beef shares (quarters or halves) welcome.

One click brings 100% grassfed goodness direct to your door. Yes, we ship!

Shepherd Song Farm raises 100% grass-fed lamb and goat meat.

We believe pasture-raised is absolutely, without a doubt, better for the animals, better for the environment, better for your health...which is better for you! We make a commitment to you to NOT use pesticides on our land and to use NO animal by-products, antibiotics or hormones. Our lambs and goats grow naturally on Wisconsin meadows. The cool northern summers of the upper Midwest produce outstanding pastures producing premium, lean lamb and goat in a healthy environment.

Our livestock spend their days in the open air and sunshine grazing our lush, green pastures. Our young stock spend the majority of their time safe with their mothers within the protective flock learning to choose from diverse forage. We do not confine our animals to stalls, on concrete or in feedlots. They routinely carry out their natural behaviors such as grazing, browsing, lactating and exploring their environment as appropriate to their species. Quality of life for our animals is one of our main values.

We are a small family farm. We use sustainable and holistic farming practices that improve the soil, increase biodiversity, and are beneficial to our local community's environment. In practice this means what we take out of the environment we put back in, so land and resources such as water, soil and fertility can be replenished and are available to future generations.

Our products are USDA inspected, vacuum-packed for quality, and meet high standards for freshness, tenderness and flavor. Individual cuts or family value boxes can be purchased year round. Religious requirements can be met such as halal certification.

We deliver locally to the Minneapolis, Minnesota /Menomonie, Wisconsin metro areas and ship across the country.

Our products can also be found in the following restaurants and stores:

Hecht Creek Ranch produces high quality grassfed beef and pastured eggs. Hecht Creek Ranch is located in Centennial Valley outside of Laramie, Wyoming just 45 minutes north of Colorado. Touchstone Angus has been producing all natural grass fed angus beef for over 12 years in Colorado and Wyoming. Our cattle are developed on open pasture and are never fed antibiotics or implanted with hormonal growth stimulants.

Angus cattle are well know for their ability to produce tender well-marbled beef. Tenderness combined with the grass-based diet found on the open ranges of Wyoming and Colorado give Touchstone Grass Fed Beef its distinctive flavor.

Touchstone Grass Fed beef is sold in whole, halves and quarters (half of a half). We make an effort to have beef available year around but most of the beef is ready in the fall. Most of our beef is processed at a USDA inspected plant in Elizabeth, Colorado where it can be picked up frozen or stored in a locker. We can ship beef as well if you live outside of Colorado or Wyoming and are unable to pick it up.
