The Chapman Creek Cattle Company located
at 1690 3100 Ave, Abilene, Kansas is now finishing its Angus grassfed
beef cattle
the old fashioned way—at pasture. All of our beef is certified
grassfed by the American Grassfed Association.
Our certified grassfed beef is naturally
lean, yet tender and flavorful, something only a truly natural product
can provide. Certified grassfed beef has a firm texture and distinctively
rich flavor you are sure to enjoy.
We select only the finest Angus calves from Flint
Hills Ranchers and nurture them in our native pastures. These cattle
never receive antibiotics and hormones and are finished on our native
grasses. They are never fed grain or in a feedlot environment. All
of our cattle are processed and dry-aged one at a time in a state or
federally inspected processing plant.
Certified grassfed beef is the delicious healthy choice. Cattle
that eat just grass have higher ratios of omega fatty acids that actually
reduce the risk of health problems. Only fish and olive oil have
higher ratios of omega fatty acids than grassfed beef. A healthy
acid known as CLA is formed in the rumen of cattle when they only eat
grass. The primary benefit of CLA is converting human body fat into
lean muscle.
We take orders for sides of certified
grassfed beef year around. Our cattle are processed for delivery in
the fall of each year. We provide free delivery in the Northeast Kansas
Area. For pricing information and availability please contact us by
phone or e-mail.

Dale Family Farms is a small farm
owned and managed by two generations of Dales. Located in South Central
Kansas, we are striving to be sustainable. To do this, we have learned
that we must better utilize our resources through improved grazing
practices and reduced reliance on fuel and equipment. Over the last
few years, we have realized that letting our animals remain in their
natural environment—doing
what they do best, grazing—is the key to sustainability.
Our beef comes from cattle that
are finished on a strict forage diet of legumes, grasses, and forbs.
The beef we sell contains no synthetic growth hormones and no antibiotics.
When prepared properly, we have found that grass-finished beef is as
tender as grain fed beef with a much richer, fuller, beef flavor. Beef
is available by the cut, wholes, halves and quarters.
Laying hens are allowed to
free-range during the day, foraging for green grass, seeds and insects. This “salad
bar” approach
to their diet improves the flavor, texture and nutritional value of
the eggs they produce.
Broilers are given fresh pasture every day and can't
even be compared to the industrial chickens you find in the store. Because
of state statutes, broilers must be picked up on the farm.
Turkeys are also allowed to free
range, often traveling more that a quarter mile from their roost to
forage. They are available
for the holiday season. Like chickens, they must be picked up on the
farm.
In 2010, pigs were added
to the farm. Our hogs are also pastured and allowed to roam the tree
rows near their pen, digging up roots and grass to supplement their
diet. Pork is
available by the cut, whole or half.
Currently, we coordinate deliveries to the Kansas City area, the
Wichita area, Pratt, Greensburg, Dodge City, Lindsborg, McPherson and
Kingman. Call if you would like to make arrangements. There is a nominal delivery
fee.

Farmer
Brown Beef is located near Warrensburg, MO, about 50 miles southeast
of Kansas City. Delivery is available within a 100 mile radius including
the Kansas side of the Kansas City area.
Our family has been raising and eating grass fed
Polled Herefords in a closed herd for about 50 years. Recently we have
begun to give the cattle fresh grass daily through rotational grazing
mimicking natural herd behavior. We do not use grain, antibiotics, or
hormones. Our carbon footprint is quite small and through our rotational
grazing management we expect will become highly carbon sequestering as
the soil awakens with life and begins building topsoil naturally at a
vigorous rate.
This healthy, environmentally and humanely raised
100% grass fed beef is available as wholes, halves or split halves.
Meat is processed by Remer in Clinton and dry aged.

Gasper Family Farm is a small family farm
in NE Kansas between Lawrence and Kansas City. We produce 100-percent
grass-fed dairy, 100-percent grass-fed beef, pastured pork and
pastured poultry products.
All our animals are raised in a low-stress, natural
environment. We don’t use antibiotics, growth hormones, herbicides,
pesticides, synthetic fertilizer or other chemicals! We maintain animal
health with prevention and natural healing practices.
Our 100% grass-fed dairy produces great tasting,
rich, healthy milk. Our dairy products include whole cream-line
milk, skim milk, butter, cheese, yogurt, and kefir.
Our pastured pork is from unique tasting, rare heritage
breeds. We minimize the organic grain fed by providing a diet of pasture,
forage, mast, and whey. This pork is available in bulk, cuts, and whole-hog sausage.
We offer 100% grass-fed beef as bulk freezer beef,
cuts, and fancy ground beef. This is a full, rich tasting ground
beef made from the whole cow rather than what is left after taking the
nice cuts.

Goff Greengate Farm's mission is to handle the land as God intended… naturally, with good stewardship and using the most natural and sustainable products available to us at the time. We offer all-natural, pastured, grass-finished lamb and beef.
Our pastured poultry meat birds are fed organic, non-soy, non-GMO feed along with Fertrell's Poultry Nutribalancer trace minerals in addition to the fresh pasture land they are rotated onto twice each day via their "chicken tractors." Because we have chosen to process our own broiler chickens, no saline injections, additives, or preservatives are ever a part of our broiler chicken final products! Our 2013 broiler harvest dates are (tentatively) May 11, June 29, and September 28. You will also discover that our pastured free-range hens’ eggs are better than anything you’ll find in the store! You won’t have to worry about hormones and antibiotics when you purchase our livestock and products.
We want to serve you only that which we would also enjoy eating. We believe you'll enjoy natural more than ever before when you also know that you're buying local, supporting local farms, and building lasting relationships that benefit everyone involved. Thank you for supporting your local farmers!
We direct market our products using pre-orders for meat birds and lamb and beef. Chicken broilers are set for on-farm site pick-up but we do sometimes offer delivery meeting sites for additional fees.
Our location in southwest Missouri makes us within an hour's drive from Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Kansas too!
We would love to hear from you. If you have any questions or would like to talk to us about what we offer, you can call, email, or use our website's contact form... all listed below.

Healthy Tasty Beef is raised
at Walnut Grove Farm, which has been in the family since 1935. Our grass-fed,
grass-finished operation sells only beef born and raised on these
acres in NW Arkansas. We offer overnight shipping by ground to the Kansas
City area.
Our pure-bred Hereford cattle are grazed
in pastures of mixed grass. The summer pastures are primarily Bermuda
grass, White Clover, Red Clover and Lespedeza. Late winter and spring
find the cattle feeding on Annual Rye Grass, Wheat and Fescue. Cattle
being prepared for harvest in the winter time are supplemented with
top quality alfalfa hay. We use managed intensive grazing and
never graze forage older than second stage growth. Cattle drink
clear fresh water from tanks in their pastures, not water from ponds
they've been standing in.
Our beef is rich in Omega-3 fatty acids,
beta carotene, vitamin E and CLA. They are raised free of stress.
No grains, hormones, or antibiotics are used in producing this meat for
you. Our farming methods are environmentally friendly. No pesticides
are used on our pastures. Meat is USDA certified, vacuum sealed
and flash frozen. The great flavor is rich and robust.

Janzen Family Farms produces 100% grass-fed beef from
Angus adapted to the region. We raise them to meet or exceed criteria
established by the USDA for the “grass (forage) fed marketing
claim standard.” Our 100% grass-fed Angus are pastured
every day. They are hormone-free; vaccines and potential medications
are kept to a bare minimum. We reserve the use of antibiotics for special
cases. They are slaughtered at a small, state-inspected, family-run
meat locker near the farm.
We are moving toward more sustainability: Our
cropland is now certified organic and our virgin prairie was certified
organic in 2008 by the Oklahoma State Department of Agriculture. We
use crop rotation, cover crops, organic fertilizer, rotational grazing,
careful water management. We freshly stone-mill certified organic wheat
on site.
To maintain financial viability, we also use our
pre-existing conventional cattle-feeding facilities. Feedlot manure is
used as fertilizer in our soil-building program. We keep our conventional
cattle strictly separated from our direct-marketed 100% grass-fed animals.
You can purchase by the cut, in discounted “packs,” or
in bulk. You can pick up, or we deliver in the Newton, Wichita, Emporia,
Topeka and Lawrence areas. We sell at farmers markets and retailers.

Moore Ranch is a family
ranch in Southwest Kansas which produces grass-fed longhorn beef,
pastured poultry, and eggs.
Our
longhorn cattle are grazed out on the ranch grasses which Mother Natures
supplies. They are not fed any hormones, chemicals or low-level
antibiotics. Longhorn beef has been studied by Texas A&M and
found to be lower in saturated fats than other breeds. The flavorful
longhorn beef also has less cholesterol and calories than chicken.
Halves, split halves and other meat are available.
Our youngest son, Laramie, raises chickens,
eggs and honey. The broilers are pasture fed. Broilers
are available at the ranch as well as eggs from his hens which run
freely around the ranch barnyard and nearby grasslands.

an ecosystem which supports not only the livestock but the prairie,
wild animals, air, water and soil as well.

Myers' Farm is a small family farm located
in south central Kansas. On our farm we raise as many heritage animals
as possible.
We raise a heritage breed of pigs, called
Red Wattles. By raising these animals we hope to help insure survival
of this breed which was once considered extinct until a few head were
discovered in a wooded area of Texas.
The key to the survival of many heritage breeds may
well be the incredible difference in flavor. The rich red marbled meat
of the Red Wattle is beginning to be offered in a few fine restaurants,
but cannot be purchased in grocery stores. We have limited quantities
available now and hope to offer more in the future as our little herd
expands. The Red Wattles on our farm forage free range, and are fed a
natural diet of garden vegetables, skim milk, and corn. We do not use
antibiotics or hormones.
We offer free-range eggs from heritage chickens,
usually spring through fall.
We make products such as feta cheese and yogurt from
fresh grass fed Jersey milk produced on our farm, and jellies from wild
plums. Seasonally, we have free-range beef and fresh vegetables.
All meats are processed in USDA approved facilities. Please email us
for information on availability of products or 2007 CSA shares.

and sells grassfed American Bison.
Our animals graze year round on the same native grasses
that bison have lived on for centuries. In the winter months, their feed

using diatomaceous earth administered in the alfalfa cubes.
In addition to the traditional cuts of meat, we also
have available a chopped and formed 100% grassfed Bison Jerky, which
does not require refrigeration. Bison skulls and hides are also available.

wholesome, all-natural "Prairie Buffet Beef,"
