Bryant Family Farm is a family-owned and -operated business in Jackson County, Kansas. We serve the Leavenworth, Lawrence, Olathe, Topeka, Manhattan, and St. Mary's areas. We provide our customers a healthier alternative to commercially produced beef, pork, lamb, chicken, turkey, egg and dairy products and we enjoy teaching others about healthy eating.

Our beef is grass-fed without medication or growth hormones - everything our beef eats is recognizable: green pasture.

Enjoying a diet without any medicines, hormones, or other harmful chemicals, our plump, tender, pasture-raised broilers are a nutritional feast. Their grain is specially-formulated to produce the best chicken possible.

Our natural pork is pasture-raised and fed a special blend feed. We take extra care of our hogs to ensure nutritious, tender meat for your family.

Friendly turkeys love to see us arrive with the feed bucket. These hormone- and antibiotic-free turkeys enjoy fresh pasture every day in addition to their specialty feed, which includes nutritious vitamins and minerals.

Our herd of Katahdin sheep enjoy pasture, shepherded from predators by our Great Pyrenees dog. Delicious lamb meat for your family.

Our fresh, hand-milked cow and goat milk is very nutritious and helps keep the body healthy with natural antibodies, vitamins and minerals. Our diary cows and goats are fed a minimal amount of grain each day to ensure their good health.

The Chapman Creek Cattle Company, with pastures near Abilene and Topeka, finishes its certified grassfed beef cattle the old fashioned way—naturally. Our mission is to provide the highest quality grassfed beef to our customers. We sell our beef by the side and try to make the buying experience as easy as possible.

All of our natural beef is certified grassfed by the American Grassfed Association. That means you can be assured our cattle have never received antibiotics or hormones and are finished on our native pastures. These cattle are 100% grassfed and never fed grain or in a feedlot environment. All of our cattle are processed and dry-aged one at a time in a state or federally inspected processing plant.

We take orders for sides of grassfed beef year round but provide special pricing of $3.49 lb (plus processing and taxes) hanging weight for cattle that are processed for delivery in the spring and fall each year. All other sales are $3.79 lb. and subject to availability. We provide free delivery to the northeast and central Kansas and metro Kansas City areas.
Our certified grassfed beef is naturally lean, yet tender and flavorful, something only a truly natural product can provide. Certified grassfed beef has a firm texture and distinctively rich flavor you are sure to enjoy.

Certified grassfed beef is the delicious healthy choice. Cattle that eat just grass have higher ratios of omega fatty acids that actually reduce the risk of health problems. Only fish and olive oil have higher ratios of omega fatty acids than grassfed beef. A healthy acid known as CLA is formed in the rumen of cattle when they only eat grass. The primary benefit of CLA is converting human body fat into lean muscle.
Stay Slim–Be Healthy. Eat Grassfed Beef.

Dale Family Farms is a small farm owned and managed by two generations of Dales. Located in South Central Kansas, we are striving to be sustainable. To do this, we have learned that we must better utilize our resources through improved grazing practices and reduced reliance on fuel and equipment. Over the last few years, we have realized that letting our animals remain in their natural environment—doing what they do best, grazing—is the key to sustainability.

Our beef comes from cattle that are finished on a strict forage diet of legumes, grasses, and forbs. The beef we sell contains no synthetic growth hormones and no antibiotics. When prepared properly, we have found that grass-finished beef is as tender as grain fed beef with a much richer, fuller, beef flavor. Beef is available by the cut, wholes, halves and quarters.

Laying hens are allowed to free-range during the day, foraging for green grass, seeds and insects. This “salad bar” approach to their diet improves the flavor, texture and nutritional value of the eggs they produce.

Broilers are given fresh pasture every day and can't even be compared to the industrial chickens you find in the store. Because of state statutes, broilers must be picked up on the farm.

Turkeys are also allowed to free range, often traveling more that a quarter mile from their roost to forage. They are available for the holiday season. Like chickens, they must be picked up on the farm.

In 2010, pigs were added to the farm. Our hogs are also pastured and allowed to roam the tree rows near their pen, digging up roots and grass to supplement their diet. Pork is available by the cut, whole or half.

Currently, we coordinate deliveries to the Kansas City area, the Wichita area, Pratt, Greensburg, Dodge City, Lindsborg, McPherson and Kingman. Call if you would like to make arrangements. There is a nominal delivery fee.

Dale Family Farms, Kurt and Andi Dale, 526 Avenue K, Protection KS 67127. (620) 622-4473.

Farmer Brown Beef is located near Warrensburg, MO, about 50 miles southeast of Kansas City. Delivery is available within a 100 mile radius including the Kansas side of the Kansas City area.

Our family has been raising and eating grass fed Polled Herefords in a closed herd for about 50 years. Recently we have begun to give the cattle fresh grass daily through rotational grazing mimicking natural herd behavior. We do not use grain, antibiotics, or hormones. Our carbon footprint is quite small and through our rotational grazing management we expect will become highly carbon sequestering as the soil awakens with life and begins building topsoil naturally at a vigorous rate.

This healthy, environmentally and humanely raised 100% grass fed beef is available as wholes, halves or split halves. Meat is processed by Remer in Clinton and dry aged.

Gasper Family Farm is a small family farm in NE Kansas between Lawrence and Kansas City. We produce 100-percent grass-fed dairy, 100-percent grass-fed beef, pastured pork and pastured poultry products.

All our animals are raised in a low-stress, natural environment. We don’t use antibiotics, growth hormones, herbicides, pesticides, synthetic fertilizer or other chemicals! We maintain animal health with prevention and natural healing practices.

Our 100% grass-fed dairy produces great tasting, rich, healthy milk. Our dairy products include whole cream-line milk, skim milk, butter, cheese, yogurt, and kefir.

Our pastured pork is from unique tasting, rare heritage breeds. We minimize the organic grain fed by providing a diet of pasture, forage, mast, and whey. This pork is available in bulk, cuts, and whole-hog sausage.

We offer 100% grass-fed beef as bulk freezer beef, cuts, and fancy ground beef. This is a full, rich tasting ground beef made from the whole cow rather than what is left after taking the nice cuts.

Our pastured poultry products include Muscovy Ducks and eggs from hens kept on pasture and fed organic grains.

Goff Greengate Farm's mission is to handle the land as God intended… naturally, with good stewardship and using the most natural and sustainable products available to us at the time. We offer all-natural, pastured, grass-finished lamb and beef.

Our pastured poultry meat birds are fed organic, non-soy, non-GMO feed along with Fertrell's Poultry Nutribalancer trace minerals in addition to the fresh pasture land they are rotated onto twice each day via their "chicken tractors." Because we have chosen to process our own broiler chickens, no saline injections, additives, or preservatives are ever a part of our broiler chicken final products! Our 2013 broiler harvest dates are (tentatively) May 11, June 29, and September 28. You will also discover that our pastured free-range hens’ eggs are better than anything you’ll find in the store! You won’t have to worry about hormones and antibiotics when you purchase our livestock and products.

We want to serve you only that which we would also enjoy eating. We believe you'll enjoy natural more than ever before when you also know that you're buying local, supporting local farms, and building lasting relationships that benefit everyone involved. Thank you for supporting your local farmers!

We direct market our products using pre-orders for meat birds and lamb and beef. Chicken broilers are set for on-farm site pick-up but we do sometimes offer delivery meeting sites for additional fees.

Our location in southwest Missouri makes us within an hour's drive from Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Kansas too!

We would love to hear from you. If you have any questions or would like to talk to us about what we offer, you can call, email, or use our website's contact form... all listed below.

Healthy Tasty Beef is raised at Walnut Grove Farm, which has been in the family since 1935. Our grass-fed, grass-finished operation sells only beef born and raised on these acres in NW Arkansas. We offer overnight shipping by ground to the Kansas City area.

Our pure-bred Hereford cattle are grazed in pastures of mixed grass. The summer pastures are primarily Bermuda grass, White Clover, Red Clover and Lespedeza. Janzen Family Farms produces 100% grass-fed beef from Angus adapted to the region. We raise them to meet or exceed criteria established by the USDA for the “grass (forage) fed marketing claim standard.” Our 100% grass-fed Angus are pastured every day. They are hormone-free; vaccines and potential medications are kept to a bare minimum. We reserve the use of antibiotics for special cases. They are slaughtered at a small, state-inspected, family-run meat locker near the farm.

We are moving toward more sustainability: Our cropland is now certified organic and our virgin prairie was certified organic in 2008 by the Oklahoma State Department of Agriculture. We use crop rotation, cover crops, organic fertilizer, rotational grazing, careful water management. We freshly stone-mill certified organic wheat on site.

To maintain financial viability, we also use our pre-existing conventional cattle-feeding facilities. Feedlot manure is used as fertilizer in our soil-building program. We keep our conventional cattle strictly separated from our direct-marketed 100% grass-fed animals.

You can purchase by the cut, in discounted “packs,” or in bulk. You can pick up, or we deliver in the Newton, Wichita, Emporia, Topeka and Lawrence areas. We sell at farmers markets and retailers.

Moore Ranch is a family ranch in Southwest Kansas which produces grass-fed longhorn beef, pastured poultry, and eggs.

Our longhorn cattle are grazed out on the ranch grasses which Mother Natures supplies. They are not fed any hormones, chemicals or low-level antibiotics. Longhorn beef has been studied by Texas A&M and found to be lower in saturated fats than other breeds. The flavorful longhorn beef also has less cholesterol and calories than chicken. Halves, split halves and other meat are available.

Our youngest son, Laramie, raises chickens, eggs and honey. The broilers are pasture fed. Broilers are available at the ranch as well as eggs from his hens which run freely around the ranch barnyard and nearby grasslands.

We are very cognizant of the effect our livestock have on the environment and strive to work with the resources available at the ranch to bring you the best product. Our main goal is to maintain an ecosystem which supports not only the livestock but the prairie, wild animals, air, water and soil as well.

Visitors are welcome to visit and see how we use rotational grazing to enhance the cattle as well as wildlife, rangeland, and the surrounding environment.

Russell Ranch OK raises purebred Murray Grey and Murray Grey cross cattle. The Murray Grey is known for the important traits of calving ease, feed efficiency, and carcass quality. Murray Grey beef is preferred for its consistent quality and tenderness. We personally guarantee the quality of our beef and strive to produce superior quality grass-fed beef.

We make every effort to finish out our animals on native pastures. However, we do feed purchased feed if the forage is deficient because of drought, ice storms, etc. We have a smaller place (50 acres) in NE Oklahoma and keep a small herd of around 25 grown cows. Although we have excellent pastures, we feed hay and COB (corn, oats, and barley) when the weather is bad to help keep their energy levels up. When we feed COB, we only feed a few days and only while the weather is severe. We feed in troughs and the cows and bull get approximately 25 pounds (half a sack) of feed every 2–3 days.

Our cattle never see a feedlot. Steroids and artificial growth hormones are not used on our cattle. We keep a health record on each animal and if a steer needs antibiotics, they are pulled from our program and sold on another market.

Grass-fed beef has enormous health benefits. Lower in both in overall fat and saturated fat. It also provides more omega-3 fatty acids. Meat from pastured cattle is also up to four times higher in vitamin E and much higher in conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), a nutrient associated with lower cancer risk, as well as higher in beta-carotene and lower in calories. Grass-fed beef is one of the healthiest protein sources available.

Our beef is dry-aged a minimum of 14 days. Dry-aging produces unparalleled flavor and tenderness. We sell the entire beef, half or quarter. Beef is processed locally in a small, family-owned facility, where it is prepared, then cut to your specification and vacuum packaged.

We are a small family-owned and operated ranch. All the beef we sell comes from our ranch and we personally care for our land and our livestock. We direct market our products using pre-orders for beef due to the rapid selling out of meat and the limited availability. Please call, write, or email for availability and current pricing.

Skyview Farm and Creamery is a diverse, family-owned farm located on 80 acres approximately 50 miles south of Kansas City. Our goal is to provide healthy, nutritious food for our family and yours. In a society that believes that bigger and faster is the only way to survive, we subscribe to a different philosophy of sustainable agriculture. We believe that happy animals are those living in an environment that allows them to become what their Creator intended. Animals living here are raised naturally, avoiding the use of antibiotics, hormones, growth stimulants or other chemicals.

The dairy cows and goats are the centerpiece of our farm. We produce delicious aged raw milk cheeses made with cow's milk, goat's milk, or a co-mingling of the two. As Kansas state law permits, we also sell fresh raw fluid milk from the farm. We also raise free-range eggs, and from time to time we have whole cow ground beef, pasture raised and whey fed pork, and grass fed lamb.

Tallgrass Beef is a pure, natural product of the Great American Prairie. Founded by Bill Kurtis—journalist, rancher, conservationist, and proud owner of The Red Buffalo Ranch in Sedan, Kansas—Tallgrass Beef Company is raising cattle that roam in the open and graze on natural grasses rich in nutrients and high in anti-oxidants. The result is beef that's rich in Omega-3 fatty acids, high in Vitamin E, higher in beneficial unsaturated fat, and lower in saturated fat and cholesterol. You can taste the difference.

Tallgrass works with independent, family-owned farms and ranches to raise cattle in their grass-fed, grass-finished program. Their beef is sold in restaurants, select specialty food and grocery stores, and through their website.

Tallgrass Beef Company, 107 East Main, Sedan KS 67361. (877) 822-8283.

Turkey Foot Ranch offers wholesome, all-natural "Prairie Buffet Beef," which is fattened naturally on nature's "prairie buffet" of grasses. (Turkey Foot is the common name for Big Bluestem and Eastern Gamagrass, which are the primary entrees for our cattle to graze.) There are no hormones, subtherapeutic antibiotics or pesticides administered to our cattle. Low stress handling techniques are utilized, as well as management intensive grazing.

Turkey Foot Ranch has been recognized as a Clean Water Farm and a Stream Steward by the Kansas Rural Center and the Kansas Department of Health, respectively, for implementing livestock production practices that improve water quality.

Beef sides are available in Spring (May – June) and Fall (October – December). Custom cuts are available year-round. Call or e-mail for pricing and orders.

Turkey Foot Ranch, Barry and Lesa Barber, 13203 112th Road, Winfield KS 67156. (620) 221-7229.
