BUYING CLUBS

In a typical buying club, farmers consolidate orders from a number of customers and deliver them to a central location, typically a customer’s home. If you want to join a buying club in your area, contact the appropriate people below:

Babes in the Wood (pastured pork) has its own buying club that provides forest fed pork to Northern Virginia, Washington D.C. and Southern Maryland. To join, email enquiries@forestfed.com and they will put you on their notification list.

Kookaburra Farm (beef) in Brogue, Pennsylvania delivers to buying groups in local Pennsylvania and Maryland counties.

Open Book Farm offers grass-fed pork, chicken, turkey, and eggs, as well as a wide variety of vegetables, herbs, and small fruits. Contact them for more information about buying clubs and CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) offerings. They offer on-farm pick ups, but also deliver to Washington, D.C. and its suburbs.

West Wind Farm provides limited delivery of bulk order (whole, half or split-half beefs) or Sampler Packs and some individual cuts) to Accokeek, Annapolis, Columbia, Gambrills and Owings Mills, MD. Customers may also may arrangements to pick up their sampler orders by appointment in Bethesda or Silver Spring. Check their website for details.
