Alger Family Farm wants to provide people with healthy food as affordably as we can. Currently, we offer grass (salad bar) finished beef and lamb, whole wheat bread, and free-range eggs.

Our lamb and beef is 100% pasture finished and the animals only eat grass, other plants, salt and a high quality kelp and mineral supplement. We never give them hormones, antibiotics or chemical wormers. We spray no chemicals on our pastures.

Our free-range laying hens sleep in a moveable hoophouse and are protected on about 1/4 acre by an electric woven fence which we move as needed. We feed them Certified Organic feed. They are allowed out during the day to eat all the bugs and plant material they desire.

Our bread is all natural and baked with Certified chemical-free, whole white wheat.

Alpha-Omega Natural Meats are available from Shadow Wings Ranch, a family-owned ranch near Lebanon, Missouri offering pasture-raised pork in both half and whole hog portions. We have a passion for food that nourishes our bodies instead of polluting them and raising animals in a way that not only gives them the best quality of life but does not negatively impact the land. We believe happy animals simply taste better.

Our hogs are fed non-GMO feed and raised outdoors on a rotational grazing system in a mixture of trees and open space. They are frequently moved to give them a fresh, clean space to run, jump, relax, and forage. They are given plenty of space to roam and get much more exercise than conventionally raised pigs. This ensures the pork has a higher protein content and better taste.

We offer your choice of cuts and can cure the meat for an additional fee. We frequently deliver to Colorado and around the state of Missouri for no additional charge. For more information or to place a deposit, please visit our website.

Our family does all that we can to ensure the highest quality possible; one of the best ways we have found is through achieving strict certification. We are Certified 100% GrassFed by the American Grassfed Association, Certified for high animal welfare by Animal Welfare Approved, and USDA Certified Organic Pastures by One Cert.

Our cattle are raised using intensive rotational grazing techniques—free of pesticides, herbicides, growth hormones, and antibiotics. We have long been advocates of this management protocol due to its benefits to the animal, the environment, and to us as consumers of a healthier product.

We market via our internet site where we ship via both Fed Ex and UPS. You can also find our meat in Whole Foods, select Schnucks Markets and through Fair Shares. We welcome customers to pick up their beef at our grass farm in Doniphan, MO, or our processing plant located in Jackson, MO—just tell us when you are coming. We can ship everything from small orders of a few steaks, to large wholesale orders including quarters, sides and whole beef with special cuts and packaging requests. We welcome orders from co-ops (delivering to numerous cities), restaurants and retail stores.

American Pasturage, Inc. supplies meat from livestock raised on grass pastures year round. During inclement weather, the animals receive grass hay right in the pasture. The Elysian Veal calves are left with the cow in the pasture from birth to market. Our farm uses no chemicals, pharmaceuticals, grains, or blended feeds in production of our meat animals.

A supply of Elysian Veal, Pasture Purefect Beef, and lamb is available at most times right from our farm. The USDA-inspected meat is vacuum-packed and frozen. Shipments can be made to any location in the U.S. The meat can also be found at the Greater Springfield Farmers' Market on Saturdays from mid-April to the end of October.

The veal, beef, and lamb are available in popular retail cuts. We try and maintain a year around stock of whole ground beef that runs 90% lean or better.

At Twister Ridge Ranch is located 10 miles east of Vinita, Oklahoma in the beautiful rolling hills of northeast Oklahoma’s Green Country, not far from the Kansas, Arkansas and Missouri borders. We are a second and third generation, family-owned ranch raising grass-fed Aberdeen Angus beef. We raise our beef naturally without using hormones, antibiotics, or grains.

Aberdeen Angus is a Scottish breed of small beef cattle that are well proportioned with a more compact, smaller frame size. They offer all the advantages of Angus cattle but in a smaller package; heavily muscled, quality carcass, with typically larger rib eyes per 100 pounds of body weight than the larger Angus.

We offer whole and half beef at 18 months to 2 1/2 years of age, delivered to quality USDA inspected meat processors in the surrounding area. Current pricing as of 5/17/2021 is $3.40 per pound of hanging weight, which averages 300 to 450 pounds.

For more information, or to order a beef call (281) 468-5881 or e-mail us at alanna@twisterridgeranch.com. We have the beef and the processing dates through 2022, so reserve your beef now to save your date and guarantee your freezer will not go empty.

Hello, and welcome to Attadale Farm. We are Steve and Sandy Fahsbender. We raise 100% Local Grass-Fed Beef, Pastured Pork, Grass-Fed Lamb and Honey Bees on an old Amish farm near LaPlata, Missouri, just across the river from Illinois.

Our grass-fed cows are the Galloway breed. We selected Galloway because they score high on carcass evaluation tests for tenderness, juiciness and flavor. With big stomachs, they do an excellent job of converting our pasture's seven varieties of mixed grasses and legumes into tasty, tender beef. We do not feed them anything except our pasture and/or alfalfa. We do not give them hormones, antibiotics, grain or grain byproducts. Our cows are humanely raised. We offer our beef by the individual cut, 1/4, 1/2 and whole.

Our pasture-raised Hereford hogs are heritage and are rotationally grazed through our timber to enjoy our naturally abundant grasses, vines, berries, bushes, leaves, roots, acorns, hickory nuts, walnuts and whatever else is on their menu. If we need to supplement their diet, it is with a certified non-GMO ration. Our pork is marbled and delicious. You will not be disappointed. We give them no hormones or antibiotics. They, too, are humanely raised. Our pork is available in 1/2, whole and by individual cut.

Our sheep are grass-fed and graze along side our Galloway cows. There is safety in numbers. Grazing sheep and cows together also help control harmful parasites in the pastures. We give them no hormones or antibiotics. Our sheep are humanely raised and the great tasting lamb is available by the whole or individual cut.

Our bees help with all the pollinating of pasture and timber flowers as well as provide us with great pure raw honey. They also encourage us to never use pesticides or herbicides.

Please visit us on line, call, or better yet, stop by. You should always examine your product source to confirm that you are getting what you think you are. Hope to see you soon!

At C&M McGinnis Grass-Fed Beef, we have the right genetics with our Black Angus breed to make great quality beef. They are moderately-framed, large-gutted cattle that have had no hormones, antibiotics, wormers or grain.

We handle our calves in a low-stress environment, which helps make the meat more tender. The calves are rotated every 1–2 days during the grass-growing season. They are supplemented with alfalfa hay and a variety of annual crops including oats, rye and clover. Extra effort is put in these calves to make then as healthy and tasty as possible.

The calves from our closed herd are raised on our farm from birth to processing time.

Transparency, sustainability, the greater good, right values and being authentic are our core values. God created the cattle and gave us the privilege to take care of them and we take that seriously.

Farm visits are welcomed. Only 55 miles south of Kansas City. For more information, find us at our website or on business facebook or call Clark at (913) 757-3997 or Marylin at (913) 522-7906. Cedar Ridge Beef Company is about taking the best care of our cattle and the land they live on. It is my desire and responsibility to take great care of my cattle during their life here at Cedar Ridge.

My cattle have a good life! We rotate them through many pastures during the year. Some pastures for a few days, some for a week during the spring flush of grass, some for a week during the hot days of summer, some for the new alfalfa growing for vitamins and health, and sometimes in the native pasture during the Fall. Grazing our cattle is one of the most important, yet time-consuming parts of raising grass finished beef, but I love to check the cattle while I move them and watch them for their growth and health. Rotating grassfed cattle among different pastures provides greater Omega-3 benefits as well as increased Vitamins A, D and E. They are also leaner and have less fat than traditionally raised cattle.

I never administer antibiotics for routine use or maintenance. They are only used for limited medical purposes, and we didn't use any this year for any reason. Some ranchers provide their cattle with hormones to increase weight more quickly; I would rather have my cattle gain weight naturally.

Beef is available by the whole, half, or quarter. You decide what cuts of beef you want and the size of the packages. The most common kinds of cuts are hamburger, sirloin, KC strip, filet and ribeye steaks, roasts, brisket, ribs, stew meat, and soup bones. Each package will be labeled with the cut and poundage. A $100 deposit is required to reserve your order, with balance due upon delivery.

Circle B Ranch aims to provide a clean and 100% natural environment to breed and grow Heritage Pork (Berkshire, Duroc and Red Wattle) for the restaurant and consumer consumption. We accomplish our mission by raising the animals in a natural environment in the Ozark Hills of southwest Missouri. The animals are raised outdoors by using sustainable and humane production standards. All our animals are bred, farrowed and raised outdoors in the fresh air.

Since the animals are free-ranged on pasture they will do what pork do best root and graze for the majority of their food. Circle B Ranch will add supplements to the animals' diet which is a natural corn-soybean based food with the necessary mineral and vitamins. We do not use any hormones, growth stimulants or meat by products.

We will have Berkshire pork available in the fall. We are going through the Certified Humane audit now.

Country Neighbors Farm is a sixth-generation family farm. We began our grass based operation in 1998, but we’ve been farming since we got off the boat! Because of our long involvement in food production, we are intensely committed to soil health and regenerative farming. We strive to be your reliable, honest, and hard working country neighbor. The sort of people you can rely on to treat you like family, feed you like family, and care about your family’s health and well-being.

We practice holistic management, rotational grazing, and low stress animal husbandry. We feed our soils with compost, protect our streams and ponds, and strive to enhance biological diversity on the land we care for. We reject hormones, ionophores, growth promotants, insecticides, and antibiotics. We use rotational grazing and healthy pasture to feed our animals and practice low stress animal handling and kindness.

We offer 100% grass fed, grass finished beef and lamb. Our beeves are available in wholes, halves, and split sides. Our beef is succulent, delicious, and packaged to fit your needs.

We also raise pastured chickens and turkeys. Our birds are in portable shelters that are constantly moving across clean pastures. We are unique in that we feed our poultry 100% non-GMO feed that we raise and mix ourselves. This ensures quality and traceability. We use diverse, long crop rotations and cover crops to build soil health and in turn, grow nutritious feed for our birds.

Country Neighbors’ meats are available year round through on farm pick up, pre-order, and buyers’ clubs. Our quarterly buyers' club delivers to Columbia, and Clovers Natural Market carries our chickens. Our selection changes, so please contact us even if what you need is not listed. If we can’t help you, we are happy to suggest someone who can!

Covered-L Farm has been in the cattle business since 1992 and raising 100% grassfed beef since 2007. We farm in an environmentally friendly manner by using no antibiotics, pesticides, herbicides or growth hormones. We're not organic, just close. We really enjoy providing flavorful, healthy, nutritious clean beef to mid-Missouri customers while maintaining sustainability standards.

Our 100% grassfed beeves are primarily Red Angus/Hereford with some full-blood South Polls. They graze high-quality pastures throughout the year along with excellent hay when necessary. To insure you receive the quality beef you expect, we test a small portion of each beeve for tenderness and flavor. Anything not meeting Sherry's high standards becomes ground beef so only the best cuts are available for our customers. Our prices for our 100% grassfed beef are lower than almost all other grassfed farms.

Halves, split halves and whole beeves are available year around. Individual packages of our USDA inspected beef are in both Clovers Natural Markets and the West Broadway and Nifong Hy-Vee stores, all in Columbia MO. Packages are also available at the farm and in Columbia during our Wednesday deliveries. Sorry, but we do not ship.

We are the beef portion of Covered-L Associates. Our independent cooperating partners are Brush & Trouble Farm (seasonal pastured pork and chicken) and Brooks Farm (100% grassfed lamb). Please see their eatwild entries above.

Deep Blue Farms, in north-central Arkansas, is owned and managed by John and Gayle Armstrong. Our focus is on raising the most wholesome, natural, wonderful-for-you chicken, pork, and beef. We are pursuing real, quality food for ourselves and our families, and we want you to share in the goodness.

Our beef is grass-finished, supplemented only with natural minerals and salt, in a rotational grazing system. We raise our own calves and leave them with their mamas for at least six to eight months. Our pork is pastured, also in a rotational system, feeding on non-GMO corn, grass, acorns, and other foods they find in their natural environment. Our Red Broiler chickens are also moved to fresh grass each day, feeding on clover, grass and bugs, along with the natural, non-GMO grains they need. We also raise turkeys on pasture once a year, to be available in November.

None of our animals are treated with hormones or steroids; antibiotics are used rarely and only as needed. They are treated with love and care. Our pastures are free of chemical fertilizer and grow lush on the rotational grazing system. Our own well supplies plenty of fresh water for the animals.

Our beef is available in individual cuts or by halves or quarters. Pork also is available in cuts or halves. Chicken is available in wholes, cut-ups, and parts, as well as livers, gizzards, hearts, and feet (excellent for making bone broth!). Turkeys are packaged whole. Eggs are also available.

Our meat is available locally at our farm near Hardy, at the Spring River Health Connection in Ash Flat, and at the ASU Farmers’ Market in Jonesboro (May thru October). Through the winter, we also meet buyers every other week in Jonesboro, to be available year-round.

Farmer Brown Beef is located near Warrensburg, MO, about 50 miles southeast of Kansas City. Delivery is available within a 100 mile radius including the Kansas side of the Kansas City area.

Our family has been raising and eating grass fed Polled Herefords in a closed herd for about 50 years. Recently we have begun to give the cattle fresh grass daily through rotational grazing mimicking natural herd behavior. We do not use grain, antibiotics, or hormones. Our carbon footprint is quite small and through our rotational grazing management we expect will become highly carbon sequestering as the soil awakens with life and begins building topsoil naturally at a vigorous rate.

This healthy, environmentally and humanely raised 100% grass fed beef is available as wholes, halves or split halves. Meat is processed by Remer in Clinton and dry aged.

Farrar Family Farm is 50 miles south of Kansas City in Adrian, MO. We offer grass-fed grass-finished beef and lamb, forest-raised pork, pasture-raised chicken and turkey. Our goal is to provide you with naturally raised wholesome food using regenerative farming methods that mimic the patterns found in nature.

We use rotational grazing to raise our cattle and sheep. They are moved daily around our farm to new pastures and fresh forage.

The chickens and turkeys live out on pasture in mobile coops. We move them every morning to a clean area of pasture where they can scratch and range for grasses and bugs in addition to their non-GMO feed.

What is forest-raised pork? Pigs that live in the forest! This is the ideal environment for a pig. They use their snout to root around and turn up the ground uncovering food on the forest floor. They also have access to non-GMO feed. Good bacon comes from happy pigs!

At the Garrett Family Farm, we strive to offer our community non-genetically modified pasture-raised pork, chicken, and chicken eggs alternatives.

We believe in raising all natural, hormone- and antibiotic-free animals. We use no additives or preservatives in our animals. Our broilers are available periodically from spring through fall. We encourage customers to make future orders however large or small, and we also regularly attend several of the local farmers’ markets including: Carthage, Webb City, and Freeman markets.

The broilers are raised on grass beginning at the third week of life in the protection of a "chicken tractor." The tractor is moved to fresh grass daily. They are fed a NON-GMO supplement of various grains for optimal health. We also offer eggs from pasture-raised hens that thrive on a diet of grass and bugs and whatever they can find. They sleep in a large mobile hay wagon coop and are allowed to roam during the day within their mobile fencing which is moved as needed to sustain a clean and healthy life.

It is extremely important to us that our customers and their families know they are always welcome to visit our farm to establish a connection with their healthy, natural food. We believe in supporting our local community and staying small, building relationships with our customers. We are continuing to learn and are seeking advice with a goal of having quality pasture, land, and animals.

Green Hills Harvest produces organic milk from Jersey-cross cows. Owners Kerry and Barb Buchmayer say that a few customers have wondered if their skim and 2% milk is mislabeled because it tastes so creamy.

The Buchmayers feed their cows a limited amount of organic grain to supplement the fresh pasture. (The cows get about 1/3 to 1/2 as much grain as is typically fed in a standard dairy.) The milk is hormone and pesticide free. Green Hills Harvest milk products will soon be available in select stores in the Kansas City area.

At Hedgewood Farms, our mission is to provide premium quality pastured beef, poultry, pork, and eggs, practicing humane and sustainable farming. We provide local families with real, healthy, and delicious whole food choices. Our products have no hormones or antibiotics and we never rely on chemical fertilizers, herbicides, or pesticides. Instead, we combine rotational grazing, poly-farming and strategic biodiversity to control weeds and soil quality.

Our predominantly Scottish Highland beef is 100% grass fed and finished. Our cattle graze year-round and we practice management intensive rotational grazing because we believe it is best for the cattle and the soil.

Pastured poultry and pork are fed 100% organic supplemental grains. Our poultry live in mobile chicken tractors and move across our pastures daily, feasting on cow patties, forage, and bugs while fertilizing our pastures at the same time. This makes for a more flavorful, better textured, healthier chicken for our customers. It builds the soil and benefits the ecology. Our hogs forage in the woods and are happy and healthy here.

Egg-laying hens are truly free-range and supplemental grain is 100% organic.

Hedgewood Farms is proud to be a vendor at the Lenexa, Kansas Farmers Market and sells individual cuts as well as sides of beef and pork. We offer a variety of options for poultry including whole chicken, 8-piece cut-up chicken and all the other retail cuts. We sell year-round.

jjjmgrassfedbeef.com, located near Truman Lake in West Central Missouri, is owned and operated by 3rd and 4th generation family farmers. After the Civil War, both Union and Confederate soldiers settled the countryside and area became known as "Golden Valley." Soft rolling hills and spring-fed creeks blended into large parcels of un-treed, open farmland in the Grand River Basin. John Jurgensmeyer and his fraternal twin Ben purchased their property near Montrose, MO in 1919. Today John's grandchildren and great-grandchildren operate the family farm that has been Certified Organic since 1997.

We primarily raise Angus and Hereford for their superior marbling characteristics. Our grass fed natural beef cattle forage on continually rotated fresh pastures, and never receive synthetic growth hormones. Our protocol is to never use any antibiotics unless absolutely necessary for the animal's health and welfare. Our pastures are never treated with artificial fertilizers, herbicides or pesticides. We cut and bale our own red clover, lespedeza, fescue and orchard grass hay into those big round bales we roll out in winter.

We have animals available year round and offer either Quarter, Half, or Whole Beef. Our beef is processed in a small, family-owned USDA inspected facility and is dry-aged for a minimum of 14–21 days. It is then cut into ground beef, steaks, roasts, brisket, and soup bones for those who want a healthy cut of beef on hand when they need it.

We are committed to providing 100% pure grass fed beef that our customers can feel good about feeding to their families. We like to think of our customers as friends and partners, and we want you to feel comfortable about buying your meat from someone you know and trust.

Parker Farms Natural Meats has been practicing managed grazing since 1997 and selling 100% grassfed beef since 2001. We are a family friendly farm with our children very much involved in what we do. We do not sell anything that we would not feed our own children.

Our 100% grassfed beef are mostly a mix of Red Angus and Hereford breeding that we have selected for smaller than average frame size. This smaller frame size allows them to perform well on a grass diet. In the winter we do feed hay and they always have access to free choice salt and mineral. They are never fed grain or given growth hormones or antibiotics. We also don't use insecticide ear tags or chemical pour-on pesticides. Our hogs are a cross of Hereford and Berkshire breeding mostly and are raised outdoors on dirt. They are fed a non-gmo corn and soybean meal feed. They very much have the ability to express their unique characteristics of being hogs. They also are never fed antibiotics to promote growth.

We raise pastured chickens for meat and eggs and turkeys in the summer and fall. They are fed a mix of non-GMO corn and soybean meal that is not medicated. They are raised completely on pasture after they are just a few weeks old.

We also raise Katahdin sheep on pasture and sell 100% grassfed lamb. We have several options for purchasing from sides and quarters to individual cuts and CSA bundles.

Meat and eggs are available at the farm by appointment or at several delivery locations in the Kansas City area. Please contact us for details or any questions.

Pasture Nectar Farm is located in the Ozarks of southern Missouri. Our primary product is grass. Our grass gets harvested by some lucky cows, poultry, and sheep, and they turn it into lots of delectable things – the nectar: milk, cream, eggs, meat.

Our Shorthorn cows produce excellent meat, milk and cream for your family. They eat fresh grass and clover from our rotated chemical-free pastures during the growing season, and hay in the winter—never steroids, hormones, or animal by-products. In the parlor, they enjoy a non-GMO ration, 3 to 4 lbs or less, but enough to give them the extra calories they need while producing milk.

Raw milk is sold in half-gallon glass jars. You are welcome to visit our squeaky-clean dairy parlor anytime.

We offer USDA-inspected 100% grass-fed beef year-round. You can buy individual cuts any time (while quantities last) or order by the whole, half, or quarter beef. Our meat animals are 100% grass-fed.

Pastured lamb is available in whole, half or individual cuts, and is USDA-inspected.

Our free-range, out-on-the-pasture hens turn our grass and bugs into delicious, omega-3 eggs.

If you haven’t tried grass-based local food before, you will be amazed at the difference in the quality and taste plus you will be supporting a local family and helping to assure that you will have food grown close by in the future -- very important in these days of distant industrial one-size-fits-all food production. You can check pricing and availability on our website.

Come see us; farm tours welcome!

Peace Valley Poultry raises field-grazed chicken, turkey and beef. In 1996 our family began growing wholesome range-raised poultry. We are still a small family farm committed to providing high-quality, healthy meat in a manner that respects God's creation.

Our chickens are treated carefully and naturally from day one. The ration we feed them is one we mix from whole grains, vitamins and minerals, and does NOT contain Genetically Modified ingredients or any medications. The pasture they are raised on is pesticide-free/herbicide-free and is managed holistically with rotationally grazed cattle, although it is not certified organic. The chickens are raised in hoop houses that are moved to fresh grass daily to insure healthy birds and pastures. At processing time we continue our practice of careful handling to provide high-quality fresh chicken. The end result is a truly tasty bird; "Like chicken used to taste," as many of our customers say. The chicken is sold either whole, split (in half), cut-up, or in packages of individual parts.

In November we sell turkeys that are raised the same way the chickens are. We have heard many reports from satisfied customers who don't want anything but field-grazed turkeys now that they have tried one. Fresh turkeys are available on the farm and at delivery locations before Thanksgiving.

We sell our poultry from our farm and also meet customers in Springfield and Rolla. We are looking for someone to organize a buying club in St. Louis. Our chicken is also found in MaMa Jean's in Springfield, Ozark Country Market in Poplar Bluff, and can be ordered through American Grassfed Beef http://www.americangrassfedbeef.com/pasture-raised-poultry.asp .

We buy beef steers in the spring, graze them all summer and fall and process them in December.

Feel free to visit our website to see photos and learn more about our farm.

Three Spring Farms is a new venture in 2011 by Andrew Bachmann, Jacob Bachmann and Bryan Meyers. The Bachmann brothers have loads of knowledge and experience: they are 4th generation farmers in the neighborhood with recent degrees in Agriculture from Missou. Meyers is a recent convert after an inspiring farm experience a few decades ago. Together they are raising grassfed beef and taking steps to protect and heal the farmland that they are working.

The Bachmanns have added to their previous knowledge by attending a grassfed grazing school in 2011, while Meyers perpetually bugs them with ideas gleaned from The Stockman Grassfarmer and other journals. We are simultaneously building our pastures and our grassfeeding skills. Initial work includes the building of a herd around some cows and calves that the Bachmanns have moved from their family farm up the road. The first year has seen the conversion of tilled fields to pasture and the development of plans to protect the ponds and streams by providing internal fencing and managed grazing. The grazing company is off to a strong start and has a small number of grassfed steers to offer at the end of the first year of operations.

We feed grass and hay only. We offer mineral supplements but absolutely no hormones and no antibiotics. The cattle are outside all the time and have had minimal health issues.

The beef will be sold direct to the consumer with options on how and where it will be processed. Will deliver to the St. Louis area and will discuss options outside that immediate region. Our farm is just across the river from Illinois, so it is a worthy consideration for those in Southern Illinois as well.

Troup Land & Livestock started in 2010 when we became involved with sustainable agriculture and rotational grazing of our beef cattle. We wanted to farm better and get more out of our land than conventional farming would allow. Setting out to build a business that could offer superior food, we refined our intensive grazing practices and added pork, poultry, eggs and lamb to our farm.

From birth our animals are raised on pasture making them a true grass-finished meat, a label that offers nutrition on your table. Our livestock never receive medications, hormones, or growth stimulants and the meat is naturally non-GMO as we never feed or supplement with grain.

We fully stand behind our products as they represent years of hard work and education that built the knowledge to produce them.

So with all that being said, why should what's good for you be expensive? We strive to provide the highest quality meats at an affordable price. By purchasing meat by portions of an animal versus individual cuts you save a tremendous amount of money over multiple trips to the store or market. If you are not yet sure you are up to purchasing the preset amounts we have listed on our pricing page, then try our individual packaged meats. We guarantee you will be back for more!
