Bluewater Creek Farm is a small-scale, high-diversity, sustainable family farm. Bowers Farm, a family farm run by Jim and Mary Bowers, is located in
Ethridge, Tennessee in the middle of an Amish Community. We humanely
raise pastured, registered/certified Large Black Hogs, Red Devon Cattle and layer hens.
The registered Large Black Hogs are pastured in grass
and forested areas, with supplemental non-GMO and non-Soy feed. Pork is available by whole or half hog and by the cut.
The Red Devon Cattle are
completely grass fed/finished and receive occasional alfalfa pellet/flax seed oil

Creek Bend Farm is a 230-acre family farm in the rolling hills of Dekalb County Tennessee. We raise USDA-certified, 100% grass-fed beef, pastured pork, pastured chicken and free-range eggs. We are not certified organic, but believe strongly in utilizing the most sustainable practices and strive to operate above and beyond organic standards.
In addition to open access to fresh pasture, our pigs and chickens receive organic or non-GMO feed whenever possible. Our happy cows spend 100% of their lives on pasture. Our goals as farmers and stewards of the land are to produce healthy food for the community. We achieve this through a specific type of grazing called Management Intensive Grazing or Rotational Grazing. This means we are moving our livestock every 1–3 days so that the animals have fresh grass, and also to give the land time to rest and recover. This style of grazing over time produces deeper, richer soil, healthier grass and cleaner streams. All of our practices are shaped by the goal of improving the health of the land, the animals, and our community.

Glendale Farm produces grass fed and finished lamb and pasture-raised poultry. The farm is located near Glendale, Tennessee, about 25 miles south of Franklin, Tennessee, and 40 miles south of Nashville. Sam and Rachel Kennedy took over farm operations in 2012 after Sam ended his duty as a naval officer. They live on Glendale Farm along with their baby daughter Margaret and Sam's parents, Mary Susan and Delk.
We don't use antibiotics, and we never use hormones. Our pastures have received no chemical spray in over a decade. Our lambs are born on pasture and stay there until they are harvested—all they ever get is their mother's milk and grass. Our chickens are raised on pasture where, in addition to the bugs and worms they consume, they are given non-GMO grains to supplement their diet.
We have an on-farm chicken processing facility, sanctioned by USDA regulation, where we process our chickens ourselves—humanely and clean—the way we want them to be processed to serve to our families and yours. Our lambs are processed and packaged at a local USDA inspected meat processing facility.

Lone Oak Farm is unlike traditional cattle
farms in that Pat Hankins has a tremendous passion for the “process” of
farming. With more than 20 years of farming experience on very large
farms, he decided to take a different approach.
Pat's vision for Lone Oak Farm is one of purism.

The Sanders Farm is located in the foothills of Clinch Mountain in upper east Tennessee, close to neighboring Kentucky, Virginia and North Carolina. We have tended a small beef cow/calf herd at our family farm since 1979. We have kept our pasture and hayfields herbicide and pesticide-free for those 35 years. We use no antibiotics, pesticides or growth stimulants of any kind on any animal to be sold on Eatwild. Flies are kept under control with a walk-through fly trap and dustings of DE.
The calves I am selling eat only our own pasture and hay and their mother's milk. They free-range with their mothers and the rest of the closed herd until the day they are processed.
I prefer to sell my calves whole or by the half in the late Spring or in the Fall. Hanging weight is around 300 pounds (give or take 50 pounds) and take-home meat averages 200 pounds. I deliver your calf to a family-owned and operated butcher in Bulls Gap, TN and you pick up your frozen (vacuum-packed in plastic) meat there. You decide how long you want your meat aged and how you want it cut and packaged.
My price, as of the summer of 2014, is $3.50 per pound of hanging weight and the butcher charges $.50 per pound based on hanging weight. However, due to the rising prices in the livestock market and of all consumer products and labor, my price as well as the butcher's fee will most likely have to go up before long.
We would rather sell our beef calves to individuals who want untainted beef than into the feedlot industry where they live a little longer but in an unnatural and highly stressful way.

We have a diverse 2-acre market garden that includes vegetables, berries,
herbs, and shiitake mushrooms. Dancing Fern Nursery is also
part of the farm and propagates hundreds of southeastern native perennials.
We sell all of our products in Chattanooga at the Main
Street Farmer's Market (Wednesdays from 4-6pm), and our meats are
available daily at Greenlife Grocery (Chattanooga) in the meat
department and cafe/deli. Our products are featured seasonally in several
restaurants in the Chattanooga area. We also sell meats through the
online farmer's market in Sewanee, TN (Cumberland Farmer's Market).
We offer bulk meat custom orders to families and individuals, and can
arrange for delivery to the customer.

Shady Grove Farm is located in rural east
TN at the edge of the Cumberland Plateau west of Knoxville. We are
a small family farm with 80 acres of pasture and woods. We also manage
two adjacent parcels for grazing. We offer grass-fed beef, grass-fed lamb,
pastured poultry, and free-range eggs.
We began farming with the intent to raise our own
foods products to know first hand the origin and health of our meats.
We enjoyed the food and farming so much that we began offering our meats
to family and then friends. Since then our customer base has continued
to grow by word of mouth until this year when we expanded through advertising.
We only sell what we ourselves would eat.
Our animals are moved twice daily to new pasture
using management intensive grazing techniques.These techniques allow
more evenly distributed fertilization, long rest times before re-grazing,
and help in the healing of the land. Healthy land produces healthy food
which in turns produces healthy people.
Feeds for our animals consist of grasses, hay, and
minerals for the cattle and sheep. The poultry receive only natural grain
based feeds along with what nature provides in the way of grasses/greens,
seeds, and bugs.
"Local" is the key to knowing where your
food comes from and how it is raised. The majority of our customers
are within a 200 mile radius ranging from Knoxville to Cookville and
as far south as Chattanooga.

Tennessee Valley Farms is nestled in the
foothills of the Smoky Mountains in the Tennessee Valley. Its beautiful

The Top of the World Farm is
the Sanders Family. Our parents had seven children and five of us are
still around, directly involved on the farm everyday. Most of the time we number around fifteen farmers
from ages 60+ down to 2 months old.
We raise Scotch Highland cattle, South Poll stockers, Dorper/Katahdin sheep,
Large Black, Mulefoot, and Hereford cross pigs, and pastured poultry.
You can purchase our meats by the cut or in bulk (quarter, half, whole). We sell all of our chickens whole.
You can find us in Memphis at the Cooper-Young Farmers Market two Saturdays a month, or at the Collierville Farmers Market two Thursdays a month. We stock freezers at The Trolley Stop Market in Downtown Memphis and at Square Beans on the Collierville square.
We have paired with another farm to also make bi-weekly deliveries to central Nashville locations.
Our cattle and sheep eat only the fresh
grass and hay that our farm offers. Our pigs live in the woods and fields, and we move our chickens around behind our cows in the fields. We supplement our pigs and chickens with certified GMO-free feed from Hiland Naturals. This feed is also tested negative for insecticides, pesticides, and herbicides.

We use no steroids, hormones, pesticides, chemical fertilizers, and un-necsesary feed additives. Our farming practices are organic (but not certified) and our goal is to maximize Omega 3's through grass feeding and rotational grazing our animals on native grasses and legumes.
