Grass Powered Poultry & Meats is a first-generation family farm located near Hillsboro, Ohio. We raise pasture-raised chicken and pork and 100% grass-fed and finished beef on our chemical free pastures.
Our farm started with a need for food we could trust. In my twenties, I experienced debilitating pain with no clear answers. My agriculture degrees taught me to raise food quickly and cheaply, but my own health struggles taught me that how our food is raised and fed matters to our health.
Higher quality food helped me begin to heal, but at that time pasture-raised and grass-fed meat and eggs weren't widely available. What began as 50 chickens in our front yard now feeds hundreds of families each month.
Our chickens move to fresh grass daily, and our heritage-breed pigs have room to root, forage, and wallow. Both receive locally sourced, non-GMO grains. Our cattle graze chemical-free pastures, eat hay in winter, and never receive grain.
Our animals are raised without antibiotics, added hormones, or mRNA vaccines. We're happy to answer questions about our practices.
